For years, Cam Woods was a familiar face at the pub, winding down after grueling FIFO shifts with a cold beer in hand. The 30-year-old tradie lived for the moment, but his love for a good time was starting to weigh him down—both physically and mentally. Earlier this year, Cam made a bold decision to ditch the booze, overhaul his habits, and embrace a life-changing journey that has left everyone around him stunned.
Cam, who captured attention on Channel Nine’s dating show Married at First Sight in 2023, recently revealed his jaw-dropping transformation, crediting the intense 75 Hard program for his newfound strength and clarity. Speaking to Daily Mail, Cam opened up about the rut that pushed him to take action. “I was stuck in a cycle back home—unfit, unhealthy, and making poor choices,” he confesses. “Not criminal stuff, just bad habits. I was eating junk, drinking way too much beer, and partying hard. I needed a goal to pull me out of it.”

The 75 Hard program, created by US entrepreneur Andy Frisella, is not for the faint-hearted. It demands 75 consecutive days of unwavering discipline: two daily workouts, a strict clean-eating plan, reading 10 pages of a non-fiction book, drinking four liters of water, and absolutely no alcohol or cheat meals. For Cam, it was the ultimate test of willpower—and he’s aced it.
“I’m stubborn as hell,” Cam laughs. “Tell me I can’t do something, and I’ll prove you wrong.” That fiery determination has fueled his success, keeping him sober and sculpting him into the fittest, strongest version of himself. “I’m in the best shape of my life,” he says. “I’m building muscle, eating heaps of clean food, and it all comes down to consistency.”
Cam’s daily grind is relentless. He kicks off each morning with a gym session, follows it with an afternoon CrossFit workout, and occasionally mixes in long walks to keep moving. “It’s not always about going all-out,” he explains. “The point is showing up for yourself every single day.”

Beyond the physical changes, the 75 Hard program has reshaped Cam’s perspective. A year ago, he would’ve scoffed at the idea of reading non-fiction, but now he’s devouring books and embracing new ways of thinking. “I would’ve told you to shove that book where the sun doesn’t shine,” he jokes. “But now? My mind’s open. I’m not so quick to judge, and I’ve learned you can’t change people—and that’s okay.”

Cam’s transformation isn’t just physical—it’s deeply personal. His time on Married at First Sight ended in heartbreak when his on-screen bride, Lyndall Grace, delivered a crushing blow during their final vows. The Perth-based accountant told Cam she wanted a life she could be proud of—one that didn’t include him. As Cam reached for his own vows, Lyndall cut him off, saying, “No matter what you say today, it’s going to disappoint me.” The rejection stung, but it also lit a fire under him.
Now, with less than a month left in the 75 Hard challenge, Cam is thriving. “This has been massive for me. I feel bloody amazing,” he says. “It’s not about looking like some Greek god—it’s about being the best version of yourself.”
Cam’s days of downing beers and living for the weekend are behind him. He’s traded late-night parties for early-morning workouts and a mindset that’s stronger than ever. While he’s not ruling out the occasional drink in the future, Cam knows he’ll never go back to his old ways. “I don’t think I’ll ever drink like I used to,” he says. “Right now, I’m healthier, fitter, and happier than I’ve ever been.”
