She Spent $100K But the ‘Monster’ on Her Face Won’t Go Away—Brandi Glanville in Tears Over Money Woes & Suicidal Thoughts

Brandi Glanville, the fiery former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is battling a nightmare that has left her physically disfigured, financially drained, and emotionally shattered. In a series of raw and revealing interviews, the 52-year-old reality TV veteran opened up about her two-year struggle with a mysterious condition that she believes may be linked to a parasite wreaking havoc on her face. Despite spending over $100,000 and consulting 21 doctors, Glanville’s ordeal is far from over, pushing her to the brink of despair and even suicidal thoughts.

Glanville’s troubles began with what she describes as “crazy lumps” appearing on her face, accompanied by alarming symptoms: swelling, sinking skin, gray spots, drainage from her ear, headaches, and partial vision loss in her left eye. “It’s insane,” she told Us Weekly in an emotional interview on August 15, 2025. “I felt like something was just eating me from the inside. I’m like, ‘It’s eating my flesh.’”

Her attempts to find answers have been a grueling journey. Doctors initially treated her with parasitic medications, which alleviated some symptoms but left her face altered with “really weird, crazy things” that remain a medical mystery. A recent mishap with Nair, which Glanville hoped would help her condition, backfired spectacularly. “It looked like someone scorched my face,” she shared with Entertainment Tonight in a TikTok video, recalling how her mother’s attempt to soothe the damage with tea bags turned her skin brown.

The physical pain is only part of Glanville’s struggle. The financial burden of her medical odyssey has pushed her to the edge. “I’m paying the minimum on my credit cards. I’ve exhausted my savings,” she admitted. “At my age, I feel like such a loser in a way, because I was taking care of everything. I had great credit. Now I’m scared about every little thing.” Her insurance company dismissed her condition as “just inflammation and old filler,” leaving her to foot the bill for treatments that have surpassed $100,000.

The emotional weight has been equally crushing. Glanville, a mother of two sons, Mason and Jake, whom she shares with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, confessed to Us Weekly that she hit rock bottom earlier this summer. “I’ve never felt suicidal before, but I didn’t want to be here,” she said, her voice heavy with pain. “If it wasn’t for my kids, I don’t know that I would be here.”

Compounding her distress are allegations of sexual harassment from her Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip co-star Caroline Manzo, 63, which Glanville vehemently denies. The accusations, which surfaced after filming in Morocco, sent her spiraling. “My phone started blowing up about these articles that were incorrect and not true,” she said. “I was on the couch in a fetal position for four months.”

Despite the relentless challenges, Glanville is clinging to hope. Her cries for help on X caught the attention of Dr. Michael R. Scoma, an infectious disease specialist who reached out to offer his expertise. “They say Twitter is the devil, but all it took was me screaming in my tweets asking for help for this lovely man to reach out,” Glanville shared with her followers last week. Under Dr. Scoma’s care, she has begun a new treatment plan involving intravenous antibiotics, with the doctor expressing optimism about her recovery. “We can expect to see meaningful progress within the next few weeks,” he stated. “I do believe Brandi can make a full recovery.”

Yet, even with this new path forward, Glanville describes herself as a “hopeful wreck.” Her days have been consumed by brain fog, physical pain, and financial worry. “I was sleeping until 5 p.m. I couldn’t get out of bed. Everything ached—at one point, I couldn’t move my neck,” she revealed. “I stay in this house every day. I’m paying crazy amounts of rent. I’m worrying about money all day long.”

Known for her bold personality on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from seasons three through five, Glanville is no stranger to adversity. But this battle has tested her in ways she never imagined. “I wanna live my life again. I wanna go outside. I wanna socialize,” she told Entertainment Tonight, her voice filled with longing. Her determination to fight for her health, her family, and her future is unwavering, even as she grapples with the feeling of living in a personal “Groundhog Day.”

As Glanville continues her treatment and works to rebuild her life, her story is a stark reminder of the unseen struggles that can lurk behind a public persona. With Dr. Scoma’s guidance and the support of her sons, she’s taking steps toward healing—both inside and out. For now, she’s holding onto the hope that the “monster” on her face will finally release its grip, allowing her to reclaim the vibrant life she once knew.
