Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry is widely recognized as one of the most talented players in NBA history. Calling him merely “talented” would be an understatement. Curry is one of only 15 players to win at least two MVP awards, has secured four NBA Championships, and holds the record as the NBA’s all-time leader in made three-pointers. Yet, his brilliance extends beyond the basketball court.

Curry is also an exceptional golfer, demonstrated by his victory at the American Century Championship in 2023, where he impressively scored a hole-in-one during the tournament. While he still has several productive years ahead in the NBA, with ambitions of capturing another championship, Curry is already setting his sights on a new challenge for his post-basketball career.
In a recent interview with CNBC Sport, Curry revealed his goal to compete on the Senior PGA Tour once he becomes eligible at age 50. “That would be a fun goal to go after, for sure,” Curry stated. “It’s an extremely challenging tour to crack if you’re not one of the champion, ex-PGA guys that are making that jump after you turn 50. To do all the qualifying journey and all that, I’m pretty sure I’ll try that…It’s wild that 13 years from now I’ll be age-eligible.”

Currently under contract with the Warriors through the 2026-27 season, Curry may continue playing in the NBA beyond that. However, the fiercely competitive athlete clearly has no intention of stepping away from competition after his basketball career ends. As he looks ahead, Curry is poised to revolutionize his post-retirement journey by taking on the demanding world of professional golf.
