Since stepping out of the Love Island spotlight, Megan’s life has been a whirlwind of brand trips, TikTok dances, and navigating her newfound fame. “It’s absolutely mental,” she laughs, her Dublin accent shining through. “It’s hectic, but I’m having the time of my life. You go from this intense bubble to the real world, and it’s a lot, but it’s so fun.”

Reflecting on her unforgettable entrance, Megan recalls the surreal moment she stepped into the villa. “It was like walking into Barbie’s Dreamhouse—everything was exactly like you see on TV, but somehow bigger and brighter. I was thrown in at the deep end, arriving with Helen as the last two girls. All the others were already settled, sizing each other up. But once I had my Prosecco in hand, I thought, ‘Right, I’ve got this.’”

Megan’s Love Island journey was anything but ordinary. After a shock dumping early in the series, she made a triumphant return that shook up the villa and gave fans some of the season’s most iconic moments. Comparing her two stints, she says, “The routine was the same—sun, chats, challenges—but the vibe? Night and day. At the start, it was all high energy, everyone trying to find their place. When I came back, it was like crashing a couples’ retreat. Everyone was loved-up, sipping cocktails, and chilling. It felt like an all-inclusive holiday, which was honestly kinda lovely.”

Her return also saw her stepping into an unexpected role as the villa’s unofficial agony aunt. “I wasn’t trying to be anyone’s fairy godmother,” she chuckles, “but I found myself giving advice to Meg and Helena, especially when the boys were being… well, boys. I just wanted to be a good mate, you know? Keep it real.”

Megan’s time in the villa wasn’t without its controversies. Some viewers branded her part of a “mean girls” clique, a label she’s quick to dismiss. “I get why people might’ve thought that,” she admits. “In that pressure cooker, everyone has their moments, and things can look intense on screen. But me and Ali? We were Switzerland—neutral, staying out of the drama. I caught some flak for supposedly picking sides, but I left the villa on good terms with everyone. That’s what matters to me.”

Did her return feel like a chance to rewrite her story? “Sort of,” she says thoughtfully. “The first time, I didn’t leave on the best note, so going back, I just wanted to be myself without getting tangled in drama I wasn’t part of. So much happens in the villa that never makes it to TV, so I kept my head down and stayed true to me.”

Of course, the heart of Megan’s Love Island story is her romance with Conor, which sparked instantly upon her return and has only grown stronger since. “It’s so much better outside the villa,” she beams. “Don’t get me wrong, the villa’s wild, but it’s intense—daybeds and deep chats all day. Now, we’re doing normal couple stuff, like popping to the shops or just hanging out. It’s made our connection grow so much faster.”

The couple’s chemistry has translated seamlessly to the real world, with no major hurdles yet. “The only challenge is the back-and-forth between Ireland and Brighton,” Megan says with a grin. “It’s hilarious seeing Conor in my girly flat, and then I’m crashing at his for a week. But we’re making it work, and it’s honestly great.”

So, what’s next for Megan and Conor? Moving in together is definitely on the horizon, but they’re taking their time. “We’ve talked about it,” she reveals, “but life’s so full-on right now, we’re just enjoying the moment. It’s in the plan, though—definitely something for the future.”

As for the idea of “little Megan-Conors” running around? She bursts out laughing. “Oh, can you imagine tiny versions of us dancing about? Not happening anytime soon, but it’s a cute thought!”

Megan’s journey—from the villa’s glitz to building a real-life romance—shows she’s more than just a reality TV star. She’s a young woman with big dreams, a sharp sense of humor, and a heart set on something bigger than the show. “Love Island was a wild ride,” she says, “but what I’m building with Conor, and with my life now, is the real adventure. And I’m all in for it.”
