The mother-daughter duo spent days acclimating to the time zone, but more importantly, they used the time to connect deeply. “Gia and I … were in Morocco [for Special Forces] days before [the competition started] … to get adjusted with the time and everything,” Teresa shared. “We had a lot of bonding time, and we talked about a lot of things.”

She emphasized that her decision to reach out wasn’t motivated by the looming uncertainty of RHONJ’s future. “What made me choose that [was] not because … I’m worried about not getting back on the cast, because it is what it is.
