On Saturday night, BBC viewers were blown away watching Strictly Come Dancing’s George Clarke.
The 25-year-old took to the dancefloor with his professional partner Alexis Warr as they performed their Couple’s Choice to the song Soda Pop from KPop Demon Hunters for Movie Week.
Their routine earned them a score of 31, putting them fourth on the leaderboard, with Lewis Cope taking the top spot with a score of 37. However, he’s since addressed some backlash from viewers after receiving the first 10 of the series.
Nonetheless, both Lewis and George were saved by the public and will be performing once again next weekend. After learning he had made it through another week, George spoke to Claudia Winkleman backstage
The BBC host wanted to know more about the friendships and camaraderie between all of the contestants.
George replied: “I think everyone is getting on really well, you can see up here when everyone is watching each other’s performances, it’s very uplifting and nice morale
“Then you remember that someone has to go home, which is less fun.” However, the BBC host was quick to move the conversation on, wanting to find out about his ‘nemesis’ as there’s someone else with the same name as him.
George replied: “Yeah, I’ve got a nemesis, my namesake. He’s an annoyingly successful architect. But, I can reveal that since doing Strictly, I’m the person that pops up when you now type in George Clarke, take that George Clarke!”

Everyone then burst into a round of applause as Claudia replied, “I bet he’s livid, quickly drawing a bridge.”
While speaking to the BBC, star Alexis revealed that next week they’ll be performing a Tango to the song “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay.
Sadly, it marked the end of the road for ITV’s Ross King, who was in the dance-off with Balvinder Sopal. In the end, the judges opted to save the EastEnders actress, sending Ross home.
Overcome with emotion while detailing his experience, the 63-year-old said: “I have loved every single minute of it. I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, all the people who voted – they’ve been amazing.

“I want to thank everyone here in this room, backstage, the judges, the crew – every single person here has made me so, so welcome.
“And, I want to thank a very special lady who has been with me through it all and has been absolutely everything: she’s been a mentor, teacher, carer.
“I could not have wished for a better partner, and I could not have wished to be on a better show. Thank you, judges, for all your remarks.”
