BEHIND THE SCANDAL: “Married At First Sight” Bride Sarah Reveals Heartbreaking Truth After Quitting – All Because of an Endless “Body-Shaming” War.

Married At First Sight UK’s Sarah Gillanders has broken her silence after quitting the E4 show and explosive fat-shaming row.

The 31 year old took to social media to admit that she ‘completely lost herself’ in a heartbreaking statement.

Sarah tied the knot with Dean Vary, also 31, just seconds after meeting down the aisle as part of the crazy social experiment.

However it was very clear that Sarah wasn’t attracted to her new husband from the very start – and she tried to make it work, but earlier this week the couple left the show.

Addressing what happened, Sarah said: ‘Leaving Married At First Sight , at this stage in the process, was the right decision.

‘The process for me started over a year ago, and after months & months of interviews and matchmaking chats, I was over the moon when I was told I had a match.

‘You walk into that experiment with so much hope – hope that the experts have found your person, hope that love will grow in unexpected ways, and hope that you’ll walk out with your forever partner.

‘But sometimes, even with all the effort, honesty, and heart in the world, things just don’t align the way you want them to.

‘Behind the cameras and the dinner parties are real emotions, real confusion, and real people trying their best to make something work.

‘Firstly, thank you to Dean – you are an amazing person; you were my rock during the really difficult times and my biggest supporter.

‘I am so thankful to have shared this experience with you, and I am forever grateful for the happy (and hilarious!) memories we shared during this process.

‘As many of you will see, I completely lost myself during this experience. It was not an easy time for me, and watching it back has been so much harder than I ever thought it would be.

‘Since leaving and healing from the process, I can now look back and be grateful for what it taught me about relationships, honesty, communication, and my own strength.’

During Tuesday night’s commitment ceremony, the experts pressed Sarah to confront her feelings after she initially tried to stay another week on the show.

Sarah told the experts: ‘For me things have been moving positively… I want to see if (romance) develops.

‘I think we’re at that point now if I take a step back… I’m worried if I give up, I’m worried I’ll be like, did I try? So if I stay another week, plan another date… ‘

Mel Schilling quipped: ‘Sarah, I think you know how you feel.

‘I think you’re clutching at straws here. And this is not to be harsh, this is to be real.

‘We are halfway through this experiment.’

Charlene Douglas added: ‘I think perhaps you’re making excuses here… there isn’t any desire here at all. At what point do you call it quits?

‘Sarah has also said that the affection is too much. I think you are both in denial and I say that with respect.

‘Do we think this is a relationship that is moving in a good direction? No.

The experts Paul, Mel and Charlene (pictured) told the couple to leave the experiment

Paul Brunson agreed: ‘We all see it.’

Mel added: ‘I Think you two know what the smart thing to do here is. You’re just not ready to say it.’

The experts then asked Sarah and Dean to reveal what they had written on their cards, with both of them initially writing ‘stay’.

However, following the brutal feedback, the pair made the decision to quit the show.

Breaking down into tears, Sarah said: ‘I don’t want to hurt you anymore.

‘I just don’t think we’re right for each other romantically.’

Dean admitted he ‘just wanted to be loved’ as he replied: ‘Thank you for being honest.’

During their time on the show, Sarah and Dean have their ups and downs as a new couple.

Sarah admitted that she didn’t fancy her man, and said that he needed to ‘lose some weight’.

After trying to improve the intimate side of their relationship, Sarah then said that she fancied a crew member, which upset Dean once again.

Earlier this week Sarah was been spotted looking very different before she found fame on the explosive E4 dating show.
