Married At First Sight UK’s Maeve posted a mysterious message after her husband Joe suddenly experienced a change of heart regarding their relationship.
Maeve, 29, and Joe, 31, originally experienced a turbulent beginning to their marriage but they subsequently managed to resolve their issues and have appeared to be the ideal couple.
We’re now at the midpoint of the experiment and circumstances have become overwhelming for Joe as he chose to suddenly exit the programme, leaving Maeve to discover an empty flat.
During Wednesday’s (October 16) episode the participants were split and divided into two separate groups for the day. Half indulged in a luxurious spa experience, whilst the remainder ventured out for cocktails.

The separation has provided the couples with a chance to confide in others and it’s evident that friction is developing between Maeve and Joe, reports the Mirror.
Joe didn’t hesitate to reveal his genuine feelings about his marriage to fellow participant Ashley, who was stunned by the confession.
“I haven’t been my full self this week. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on at home and my grandad just died, which doesn’t help at all,” Joe confided to Ashley.
He continued: “I feel like me and Maeve have been in this bubble and I’ve been in denial about all the differences we actually have. How maybe we’re not compatible, but because we’ve been in this bubble I’ve ignored it all.”

Ashley questioned whether Joe still maintained his declaration of love to Maeve. “I do love her in a way, but am I truly head over heels truly in love? Probably not,” he responded.
Joe subsequently decided to step away from the programme temporarily, departing without bidding farewell to Maeve. The episode’s conclusion hinted at his eventual comeback, reassuring viewers he hadn’t permanently withdrawn.
Following the broadcast of these scenes, Maeve has now spoken out with an enigmatic social media post, making it evident that the abrupt change of direction caught her off guard.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the bride appeared consuming a cheese string whilst in bed, accompanied by audio stating: “I’m going to count to 10, text my therapist and try and have a great day.”
She captioned the image: “You really DO learn something new everyday”.
In the meantime, Joe has also published a message on social media, telling his supporters: “REALITY CHECK. The MAFS bubble is a real thing, and it’s easy to forget about the real world.
“Receiving the news of a family passing was certainly a wake up call and put things into perspective. Balancing this with the MAFS life was something I found very difficult, and I appreciate the love and support”.
