Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ross King has revealed a brilliant on-air gaffe made by presenter Claudia Winkleman during Saturday evening’s live broadcast.
The 63 year old became the second celebrity eliminated from the competition alongside professional dancer Jowita Przystal during Sunday’s results programme.
Speaking about his departure on Monday’s edition of Lorraine, where he serves as entertainment correspondent, Ross highlighted an amusing incident from Saturday’s show that audiences might have overlooked.
Currently, Claudia, 53, is simultaneously presenting Strictly and The Celebrity Traitors, which resulted in an entertaining mix-up.
Presenter Lorraine Kelly remarked: “Tell me about Claudia, Claudia Winkleman, she’s got two amazing shows on the go..”, reports Wales Online.

Ross replied: “The time I spent with her over the past few weeks have been fun, she’s so sharp, she’s so on the case.
“This was funny on Saturday, my wonderful producer, Meg, she was the one who spotted this so… when you’re doing the top two shows, you sometimes get confused because do I have dancers with me or players when it’s on The Traitors. This happened…”
Lorraine subsequently aired footage of Claudia addressing Lewis Cope and Katya Jones during Saturday’s live Strictly broadcast: “Honestly, what an unbelievable dance, I need you to know that your fellow…” before the presenter was about to say dancers but switched to “players” in an amusing slip referencing The Traitors.
During Ross’ conversation, the presenter remarked: “You know, the standard this year… I think it has been…” before Lorraine, 65, interjected: “Can I just say, from my point of view…
“I think there’s too many trained dancers in it for me because the reason I enjoy the show is to watch people like you, if you don’t mind me saying, you know this, getting better and better and better.

“That, to me, that’s what the show’s about. That’s what it should be about.
“And I know you wouldn’t say that, because you’re too lovely, but I think there’s too many, in my opinion, there’s too many experienced people, and it’s kind of like: ‘Okay, that’s great’, but I’m not invested, and I’m not thinking, ‘go for it’.
“Whereas with you, I was like, yes, Ross! Yeah! Especially the dance that you did to The Proclaimers. That was beautiful!”.
