Tonight’s Married at First Sight UK preview reveals Maeve being compelled to make a crucial choice regarding her future on the E4 reality programme.
Maeve and spouse Joe’s union has been turbulent from the start, with the couple frequently disagreeing over their contrasting lifestyles and communication approaches. Complicating matters further, Joe tragically lost his grandfather during filming, forcing him to abandon Maeve in their flat whilst he returned home for the funeral.
Monday’s (20 October) instalment of MAFS showed Maeve attending a dinner party solo whilst her fellow participants questioned the stability of her and Joe’s relationship, as Joe had failed to confirm whether he would be returning to the experiment.
In Tuesday’s (21 October) episode, Maeve meets with the MAFS relationship experts – Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas – to evaluate her marriage and determine the next steps.

The preview begins with fellow participant Ashley offering his perspective following an emotional discussion with Joe before his exit, reports OK!.
“If you’re asking my opinion, in the headspace that he’s [Joe] in, I don’t think he can give you what you need,” Ashley confessed, as Maeve gazed downward.
Human behaviour and performance expert Mel then questioned Maeve: “This is a really good point. What do you need in a relationship?”
She became emotional as she confessed: “Someone that’s going to be there for us. Someone that’s going to have my back. Someone that’s not just going to leave us. This is s**t.”
Maeve’s fellow cast members showed their support as she struggled to maintain her composure whilst battling back tears.
“I just feel that probably right now, I do think he needs to focus on himself. And, I probably need to focus on myself,” she subsequently revealed to Mel.

Mel then questioned whether it was time to “choose you”, with Maeve agreeing that she needed to prioritise herself over the programme.
“And what might that look like?” Mel enquired, prompting Maeve to confess: “Going”, which left her co-stars visibly upset.
MAFS viewers rushed to offer their backing for Maeve after the preview footage emerged, with one writing: “Feel bad for her,” whilst another added: “My hearts goes out to her and joe.”
A third supporter commented: “I love both Joe and Maeve but separately. I don’t know why they were matched. Joe wanted calm and peace and that is not what he got. Also, he lost his Grandad and then was expected to ‘perform’ on TV immediately. He needed time.”
