Bravo fans are counting down the hours: on October 28, the highly anticipated crossover between The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) and Below Deck Down Under (BDDU) finally docks on screens. Airing as episode 7 of RHOSLC season 6, the special charter throws the icy drama of Salt Lake City straight into the turquoise waters of the South Pacific—under the command of Captain Jason Chambers.
In an exclusive chat with Us Weekly ahead of the premiere, Chambers didn’t mince words about the chaos that unfolded. “We didn’t know what we were in for, but wow. What a wow,” he said. “What a way to start the season. To be quite honest, there’s a lot going on now. There’s a lot happening, and I don’t think you could fit that much into a three-day charter.”
The captain, who will helm Below Deck Down Under season 4 (premiere date TBA), admitted the RHOSLC ladies turned his superyacht into a floating confessional. Despite the luxury backdrop, the women unleashed unfiltered tension—prompting Chambers to step far beyond his usual duties.
“I was a doctor. I was a yoga instructor. I was a Zen master,” he revealed. “I had to be everything to try and calm the whole thing down.” From treating an unexpected injury to leading emergency yoga sessions, Chambers deployed every trick to diffuse the escalating feuds. “I brought some yoga and some Zen into it to try and stop it. But I don’t think there’s anything we could have done to calm it down.”
All the RHOSLC season 6 stars—Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Mary Cosby, and newcomer Britani Bateman—boarded the vessel. Notably absent? Bronwyn Newport, leaving the group one firestarter short.
Teasers from episode 6 already foreshadowed the storm. In a private cabin moment, Whitney confided in Heather: “Every time Lisa’s mad at someone, information leaks about them. Angie, me, Bronwyn, Mary, Meredith!” At dinner, Heather confronted Lisa directly: “I think that you’re the source of all the dirt.” Lisa stormed off in tears, phone in hand, sobbing to an unknown listener: “I’ve never done anything to them.”
Adding fuel to the crossover fire, fan-favorite Chef Ben Robinson and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher (fresh from Below Deck Sailing Yacht) join Captain Chambers’ crew, ensuring the service matches the high-stakes drama.
Chambers teased that viewers have “never seen this much drama” on a Below Deck charter—yet somehow, it was “so much fun.” As the RHOSLC ladies prove once again that no location is safe from their showdowns, one thing is clear: this crossover will go down as unbelievable television.
