Celebrity Traitors star Tom Daley has revealed his son was left in floods of tears after witnessing his dad get ‘murdered’ on the BBC programme.
The Olympic diving champion was amongst the Faithfuls in the current series of the hit television show, presented by Claudia Winkleman. However, he fell victim early on to Traitors Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns, who eliminated him swiftly after determining he would prove challenging to deceive in the competition.
Tom shares two sons with husband Dustin Lance Black – Robbie, born in 2018, and Phoenix, born in 2023. During an appearance on The One Show on Tuesday (October 28), he confessed that his Celebrity Traitors departure left his eldest boy in floods of tears, reports Wales Online.

“I’ve been watching it with my husband and my oldest son,” he revealed.
“And what was really sad was when, like, I got, you know, murdered, he was like, he started crying ‘Oh, my papa.’
“And I was like, ‘Robbie, I’m here, you’re fine.’ And then he was like, ‘OK, because I wanted you to win. And he’s like, I hate the Traitors.'”
Tom also disclosed: “Well, you know, I did want to be a Traitor.”

During his stint in the castle, Tom made headlines when cameras caught him throwing some serious side-eye at fellow contestant Kate Garraway regarding her response to Paloma Faith’s elimination.
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate proclaimed she was “flabbergasted” and Tom deemed it rather excessive, heightening his suspicions that she might actually be a Traitor. His eye roll set tongues wagging, but the celebrity maintained he had no clue it would blow up so massively.

“I didn’t even realise that I was doing that much of a side eye,” he revealed.
Tom continued: “I didn’t even realise that it was going to be a thing because I was in LA and then I was getting all these texts of like, ‘That side eye’, ‘That…’ I was like, ‘What side eye?’
“And then before I knew it, I was like, ‘OK, I guess flabbergasted and the side eye is a thing.”
