The Celebrity Traitors contestant Cat Burns has treated fans to a ‘secret’ just as her latest album soars up the iTunes rankings.

With mere days remaining before the deception-filled competition crowns its champion, Cat continues battling for victory alongside Traitor Alan Carr, and Faithfuls Joe Marler, David Olusoga and Nick Mohammed.

BBC viewers have become completely captivated by the 25-year-old singer, with countless fans rushing to listen to her fresh release, How to Be Human.

The 16-track collection, launched on October 31st, delves into an especially challenging period in the artist’s personal journey.

Posting on Instagram following the album’s launch, Cat penned: “It’s very honest and it’s very vulnerable (perhaps too vulnerable with the voice memos of me crying).

“But I truly believe art should cost us something so the fact that I’m so nervous putting this out means it’s gonna hopefully resonate with you all.”

The tracks climbed to number one on iTunes’ leading UK albums chart within days of their release, with Cat aspiring to dominate radio playlists next.

On Monday (November 3rd), she turned to social media to mark the achievement, exclaiming: “I was no1 on the iTunes charts this morning what the FRICKKKKKKK.”

The BRIT-nominated performer subsequently revealed startling information via her Instagram story, disclosing that supporters can gain access to a secret bonus track featured on the record.

She further explained that fans can buy an NFC card from her website.

Once they’ve got their hands on one, they can register the NFC card to unlock a “secret” track and exclusive videos.

The specifics of the hidden song remain a mystery, but it’s likely to resonate with the deeply personal themes of the album.

Before the full album release, Cat unveiled a string of singles, including ‘There’s Just Something About Her,’ which appears to be a tribute to her rumoured girlfriend Sarah New.

The London-based artist also released the soothing ballad ‘Please Don’t Hate Me,’ exploring the process of moving on after a long-term relationship.

Elsewhere in the album, she shares her experiences of grieving for her grandad.
