THE SHOW IS OVER: Keye Declares ‘I Am Innocent’ As True Colours Exposed in MAFS UK Scandal!

Married at First Sight favourite Keye Luke has declared ‘I’m not about to apologise’ as viewers criticise his behaviour.

The London-based reality television personality wed Davide Anica, who hails from Portugal, and they have progressed remarkably well together.

The couple have even professed their love for each other, with audiences convinced the duo will survive beyond the experiment.

However, last night’s (November 3) instalment has sparked uncertainty among MAFS viewers, with numerous fans labelling Keye as ‘pretentious’.

With homestays now in full swing, Davide brought Keye to his home in Horsham, appearing keen to introduce his daily routine to his new spouse, reports OK!.

However, Keye remained thoroughly unimpressed by the modest Sussex town.

When questioned about how it measures against London, he quipped: “Well, they have a Greggs and we have a Gail’s [Bakery].”

During Davide’s flat tour, the Portuguese groom pointed out his household cleaning supplies.

Keye interpreted this as an indirect dig since “everyone in London has a cleaner”.

The 33-year-old later shared his real feelings about Davide’s more relaxed way of life.

He remarked: “This home it is very different to my big, glass, modern apartment with a wine fridge and a Thames view.

“It is slightly anxiety-inducing to see how D lives. I couldn’t live the lifestyle that I love here,” Keye continued.

Later scenes showed Davide treating Keye to a visit at a cat café, though this venture also concluded disappointingly.

Upon their arrival, Keye commented: “Would I have rather a dog café? Of course, but I don’t have to take any of them home with me.”

Speaking to producers, he added: “My idea of a surprise is going to get diamonds or maybe a nice glass of champagne, not cats.”

The duo found themselves embroiled in a fierce row after Keye disclosed he wouldn’t be “overly playful” with Davide’s three felines because he prefers dogs.

The explosive episode has prompted viewers to criticise their once-favoured contestant.

Taking to Reddit, one commented: “Completely gone off Keye if I’m honest. He’s coming across so snobby and pretentious, does anyone feel the same?”.

Others concurred, with some asserting that his “mask has well and truly slipped”.

Another person wrote: “Keye’s true colours are coming out,” whilst a fourth responded: “And it’s not looking good.”

The E4 personality has now turned to Instagram to defend his behaviour. Posting on Tuesday (November 4), he stated: “If I came across as entitled, that’s okay.

“I’ve worked hard for everything I have, and I’m not about to apologise for enjoying the beautiful things I’ve built around me. Most of what I say is tongue in cheek and the rest… well that’s just gay sass.”

Keye proceeded to clarify that his sour mood at the cat café was partly due to Davide’s three pets living with his former partner at the time, which rendered the outing rather awkward.

He explained: “Being put in a small, dark space after I’d made it very clear that I’m claustrophobic wasn’t exactly my idea of fun.

“Small spaces and feeling trapped send me straight into panic and anxiety mode add to that a strong disliking for cats and you get, well a Keye shutting down.”

The Londoner then “sprinkled in” more context, saying: “Those cats were living with his ex-fiancée at the time.

“So, the constant mentions? Not exactly top-tier conversation material for anyone with an ounce of emotional intelligence on a ‘fun’, surprise ‘date’.”
