BOMBSHELL REVEALED! Alan Carr Exposes the ‘Heartbreaking’ Truth After Paloma Faith’s Betrayal on ‘Celebrity Traitors’

Alan Carr says betraying his pal and The Celebrity Traitors co-star Paloma Faith was “awful”.

Admitting it “hurt”, he told the singer live on spin-off series Uncloaked he was “so sorry”. Paloma shared her own sadness, but soon got emotional as she confessed why Alan was a worthy winner.

Paloma had been rocked earlier in the series when she was murdered in plain sight by the Traitors. So to find out it was close friend Alan behind it left her furious.

Each time a star was eliminated after this, their first question in response to learning Alan was a Traitor was how he could have killed his beloved pal Paloma. It became quite a theme with the show and its stars, and viewers watching at home.

So when Alan got the chance to address the moment on-air on Thursday after the final, he took his moment to explain his struggle with it. He’d just been revealed as the winner, bagging the prize money for his charity and beating his co-stars, and Faithfuls, David Olusoga and Nick Mohammed.

Alan broke down when he learned he’d won, feeling guilty for lying. So when asked about his betrayal towards Paloma, Alan said: “It was awful. So awful, and weird because I love Paloma.

“I’m a fan of her music, I’ve been a fan of her for ages and we’re friends, it absolutely, really hurt.” Issuing her an apology in front of everyone, he said: “I am so sorry. You know I am and I wanna tell everyone I am father of her child.”

As Paloma laughed this joke off, she had her own say. She soon teared up as she shared her love for Alan, proving their were no hard feelings. Paloma shared: “It was great.

“It was an enjoyable experience for both of us. I just wanna say after observing tonight… I feel like the reason why Alan won and the reason why I was so sad is cos we all love Alan so much. I love you so much and I’m so happy you won because it was bloody worth it at the end.”

She added it “hurt her” but she loved him anyway, calling him “loveable” as she praised him as a person and a show player. She added: “He won it because everyone loves him, everyone loves him.”

Alan’s victory left him sobbing. As Alan announced he was and always had been a Traitor, Nick screamed: “Oh f**k,” and nearly collapsed in shock.

David was speechless as he fell to the table, and stared on in disbelief – despite co-star Joe’s warning before his elimination moments earlier. But they were stunned as Alan then burst into tears, telling his new pals: “It’s been tearing me apart. I am so sorry.”

Nick was first to rush over to Alan, tearful as he consoled him and told him all was fine. He said: “You’ve been absolutely brilliant. You’ve been amazing. It’ a game.”

As host Claudia Winkleman and David them comforted Alan too, David told him he’d been “amazing”. Nick then added: “Don’t be stupid, think about the charity,” as Alan fretted over lying to everyone for all that time.

Speaking about the show, Alan said it did “take its toll”. He explained: “I think all the deceit, the lying, the murdering of Paloma and Celia had all taken its toll and then I think it dawned on me that I had won such a huge amount for my charity, Neuroblastoma UK.

“The charity is so close to my heart that it all became a bit too much. Hopefully when people see how upset I was they won’t feel so bad that I killed all those national treasures.” He also said he was shocked by the win and joked: “See, idiots can do well.”
