In a heartfelt revelation that’s sure to tug at the heartstrings, Jack Osbourne has opened up about his family’s emotional response to his bold decision to join this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Just four months after the devastating loss of his legendary father, Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne, Jack shared how the jungle adventure is becoming a beacon of distraction amid their grief.

The 39-year-old adventurer confessed that his mother, the fiery former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, had a poignant reaction when he broke the news. “She told me it would be a great way for us to focus on something positive,” Jack revealed, emphasizing how the show could help divert their minds from the profound sorrow of losing Ozzy. Paired with his sister Kelly, the family plans to tune in religiously, turning the nail-biting Bushtucker Trials and camp antics into a much-needed escape. “Mum and Kelly, yeah they are absolutely going to be watching. They are supportive,” he added with a mix of emotion and resolve.
But stepping into the Australian wilderness isn’t without its challenges for Jack. Leaving behind his wife and four young children weighs heavily on him, especially in the shadow of his father’s recent passing. “It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind,” he admitted candidly. “I have got lots of kids, my wife, and my family still in the wake of my dad passing. It is going to be difficult, that is for sure.”
Reflecting on past separations, Jack noted it’s not the longest he’s been away—recalling grueling two-month stints filming Adrenaline Junkie without constant contact. Yet, the total isolation of the jungle hits different: no phones, no calls home. “I’ve gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone, but I still had access to one and I was able to make calls home. It’s going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud.”
Jack didn’t dive into this decision lightly. “I definitely had to think about doing this programme,” he explained. “It’s an absolute commitment, but the real reason why it is popular is people sit at home saying, ‘Could I do that?’, so I think a lot of why I’ve said ‘yes’ is the intrigue and how would I survive that? I am very nervous though!” He teased that many past contestants have emerged transformed, hinting at the “profound experience” awaiting him.
As Jack gears up to face creepy crawlies and celebrity camaraderie Down Under, he’ll be joined by an eclectic mix of stars: rapper Aitch, footballer Alex Scott, YouTuber AngryGinge, comedian Edie Kadi, and model-presenter Kelly Brook. Rounding out the stellar lineup are Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, comedy legend Ruby Wax, and EastEnders favorite Shona McGarty.
With Ant and Dec at the helm, this season promises thrills, spills, and perhaps a touch of healing for the Osbourne clan. Will Jack conquer the jungle and honor his father’s rock ‘n’ roll spirit? Stay tuned—the adventure begins soon!
