With Time Running Out, Joe Marler Publicly Takes Down Fellow Star Stephen Fry With a Salary Truth No One Else Dared to Reveal!

THE Celebrity Traitors may be over but the rivalries between the cast members are still rife a week after the show ended.

Former rugby ace Joe Marler has taken a savage swipe at rival Stephen Fry after revealing he was paid less than other stars.

He told The Times: “The bonkers thing about a celebrity version of Traitors is whatever status you have outside the game, you’ve still got that status inside. It’s so hard to ignore.”

After it was pointed out that Stephen’s intelligence was praised despite him not actually being able to detect any traitors, Joe fumed: “Well, my game plan originally was obviously I’ll just do what Stephen does, because he will be good at this.

“Then after a couple of times, I realised, he’s not good at this. This is not a good plan.”

Joe also revealed how much he got paid for doing the BBC One show and not everybody got the same amount.

Richard Osman and Marina Hyde had previously claimed that each contestant was paid £40k for their appearance on the show and Joe admitted his wife Daisy had heard that too.

He continued: “Yeah, Daisy read that too. She said to me, ‘Hold on, I thought you only got 30?’

“I said, ‘Yeah, I did. No, I don’t think everyone got paid the same. But I’m not bothered. It was 30 grand whether you lasted two days or three weeks — a no-brainer.”

The last remaining traitor, Alan, left victorious and claimed the entire £87,500 prize pot, which was donated to his chosen charity Neuroblastoma UK.

In the final episode, Joe’s pal Nick Mohammed and historian David Olusoga, along with Traitor Alan Carr, sensationally turned against Joe.

The trio voted Joe out and decided to head into the final without him, believing that he could be a secret Traitor.

But Nick and David were wrong because Joe was Faithful and Alan was a Traitor.

As Alan won, he sobbed in an emotional moment which went viral on social media: “I’m so sorry, it’s been tearing me apart, I’m so sorry.”

After their initial shock faded, Nick and David were quick to rush to his side and console him, as Alan held their hands and hugged them.

“You did brilliantly, Alan!” David told him. “It’s a game!”

“You did absolutely brilliantly,” Nick seconded. “It was amazing.”

Still crying, Alan told them: “I feel so bad.”

Eager to reassure him, Nick responded: “Don’t be stupid, think about the charity, it’s amazing.”

Host Claudia Winkleman selected Alan, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns to be the traitors on the first episode as they got to work with their lies, deception and murders.

Alan brutally murdered real-life pal Paloma Faith in plain-sight by touching her face.

They managed to go undetected for the majority of the series, but Jonathan was banished two episodes before the final.

Cat was the first to be banished when it came to the final five, with Joe, Nick and David all voting for her to leave the castle.

The Celebrity Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
