“INSTANT EXPLOSION! The first verbal showdown in the jungle as Angry Ginge gets a brutal reality check from a campmate: “You’re acting stupid!”

I’m A Celeb’s Aitch proved he’s not going to stand for any nonsense from the very first episode, taking Angry Ginge to one side in camp and telling him simply: “You’re being stupid.” The tense moment came after the 24-year-old suggested he could put out the fire by blowing on it – because that’s what you do with a candle.

Rap star Aitch, 25, told him sternly: “Can I have a word?” and took the streaming star to one side. One fan wrote: “Oh dear, Aitch not off to a good start.” Viewers were divided over whether he was exasperated or attempting some deadpan banter.

Some fans were delighted with their brief showdown, with one posting: “Aitch taking Ginge to tell him off already hahahahaah my fave duo.” Another wrote: “Ginge & Aitch are going to be one hell of a duo… can’t wait to watch them… it’s nice to have someone lively, positive and just excited to be there.”

Not everyone was loving their interactions, with one viewer posting: “Angry Ginge and Aitch better calm down as they are already annoying.” Another said: “I have a feeling Aitch and Ginge might be trouble in the jungle!”

Angry Ginge ended up being voted to take part in tomorrow night’s trial alongside Ruby Wax – with the pair being thrown in at the deep end with the most gruesome trial available. One viewer wrote: “Angry ginge and Ruby Wax doing the first eating trial together is gonna be crazy viewing.”

The trial called Trial, called The Divey after posh London restaurant The Ivy, will see the pair faced with a meal of worms, maggots and other creepy-crawlies.

Under new I’m A Celeb rules introduced this year, viewers will no longer be able to persecute certain stars. Calling it Two Strikes And You’re Out, Ant and Dec explained if a celeb faces two bushtucker trials in row, they are exempt from the next one.

“It stops that moment when the public think, ‘how have they voted for that person again?’ said Ant. He added that it was “unfair” that some celebs had to face several in a row before.
