UNFORGIVABLE! Leah Tyrer Reveals The Truth Behind The Scenes of MAFS UK: ‘Leigh’s Words Were A Stab In The Back!’

Married At First Sight UK fans watched brides Leah Marie Tyrer and Leigh Harris leave the show on good terms last week after a very rocky romance. But it didn’t take long for their relationship to turn sour, with Leah admitting they’re no longer on speaking terms.

“I actually came out of the experiment friendly with her and we said we’d still be friends,” Leah tells us. “The reunion was fine, but she’s done a few bad things on social media and tried to throw me under the bus for some weird reason. I’m not totally sure why.”

The pair hit a number of road blocks during their romance, from Leigh saying there was no “spark” between them to her fuming over Leah admitting that fellow bride Rebecca was more her type. The row continued on social media, with the duo clashing on TikTok over Leah’s honest response.

“We don’t talk now,” Leah says. “I’ve got no time for her at all. I just find it all a bit tasteless.” She admits they had more fallouts behind the scenes, with them sleeping in separate flats at times.

“Sharing a one-bedroom apartment with someone who vapes 24-7 and wants to vape in bed caused a lot of our arguments,” she says. “She didn’t compromise on that and I’m not a smoker. I did ask for a non-smoking person.

“Sitting in bed at 3am and smoking vape in my face – there’s an element of disrespect in that. I struggled with that more than anything. We stayed in different apartments at times when we weren’t good.”

Leah admits watching their relationship unfold on TV was difficult at first. “There was a bit of PTSD because I knew how I felt in that moment,” she says.

“For the first four weeks of the experiment, I was trying so hard but not really getting anywhere. But I’m just at a point where I don’t really follow it or take it in as much. I don’t deep it.”

She may have left the E4 show single, but Leah says taking part taught her not to keep chasing something that isn’t there. “It takes its toll on you and you end up losing sight of who you really are,” she says.

“That’s no good. I see a lot of people in relationships where the wife or husband has chipped away at the other person or they’re insecure so they take it out on them. I see them stay together and they lose themselves. I’ll never do that again.”

As for her love life now, Leah teases that there could be someone new in the picture. “All you need to know is I’m very happy,” she says coyly.

With most of her airtime on the show focused on her difficulties with Leigh, Leah wishes she’d got to show more of her fun side. “I wish my personality had come through a little bit more because I’m quite light-hearted and I lost that,” she says.

“I suppose it wasn’t shown because a lot of it was very serious chats. But I do think the show has been narrated very well. People have had very fair edits.”

Leah admits she received several warnings during the show for partying with her castmates. “I disobeyed my curfew a few times and I had a party back at my apartment,” she says. “I invited everyone back and that caused a ruckus. Everyone had to hide in the curtains and in the cupboards.

“The security guards went mad,” she adds. “I got away with murder. I think I’m on warning five by now but no one chucked me out so I must have been doing something right.

“The producers like to understand how much alcohol you’re consuming from a welfare point of view and then, obviously, someone may have said something that’s not on camera. They like it all to be very authentic.”

As for what’s next, Leah has set her sights on another reality show. “I’d love to do SAS: Who Dares Wins. Or down the line, when I have more of a following, I’d love to do I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. That’s something I would smash.”
