The drama between two Married at First Sight UK stars, Maeve and Julia-Ruth, is still simmering even after the cameras have stopped rolling.
This comes after the pair had several heated exchanges during tense dinners on the show, with revelations of Julia-Ruth’s liaisons with two other husbands, including Maeve’s ex, further stoking the fire.
Geordie lass Maeve has been left fuming over the betrayal and hasn’t held back in expressing her disdain for her MAFS UK co-star. The tension between the two continues to escalate, even after filming wrapped up.
Maeve was left heartbroken when she discovered that Julia-Ruth had a steamy fling with her ex-partner Joe Wood during an unexpected holiday outside of the experiment. The pair even got matching tattoos reading ‘Why not?’, although Joe has kept quiet about the ink, reports the Mirror.
The news of their secret getaway came to light during a mini reunion where brides who had left the experiment returned, bringing with them juicy gossip from the outside world. The tattoo revelation only came after the series ended and the cast reunited for a two-part special.
Since then, the feud between Maeve and Julia-Ruth has continued on, with both parties making it clear there’s no love lost between them.
Adding fuel to the fire, Maeve threw some shade at her fellow TV star under co-star Nelly P’s Instagram post after the series concluded. Taking to the comments section, she gushed over Nelly, penning: “I love you with all my heart my girl; I, however, can not say the same about Julia-Ruthless,” followed by an upside-down face.
Fans were quick to shower Maeve with affection, with one supporter backing the star as they penned: “Fully the opposite of what girls should be. Like where the hell are your personal boundaries?”
A second added: “You both had lucky escapes! You deserve so much more than those trashy, immature boys!”
Nelly herself also responded to the comment, sharing a message of love to her mate: “Love you so so much,” followed by a red love heart.
Another fan had questioned Maeve about whether she had spotted Julia-Ruth’s recent Instagram post, in which she justified her choice to get with Joe, describing herself as “a woman who was trying to find love and connection”.
However, Maeve confessed she wanted nothing more to do with Julia-Ruth as she revealed Julia-Ruth is now blocked.
Julia-Ruth, meanwhile, maintained that both her relationship with Divarni and Joe’s relationship with Maeve had concluded “for different reasons” before they got together.
They only contacted each other after their own journeys in the experiment had finished, she claimed.
