A Married At First Sight UK bride has posted a heartfelt update about her relationship status, receiving an outpouring of support from fans and co-stars alike.
Abi and John joined the experiment later in the series as one of the new pairings, and quickly developed a strong bond from their wedding day onwards. In contrast to some other participants, the duo connected immediately and their relationship appeared to flourish throughout filming.
During the programme, John and Abi declared their love for each other and successfully completed their final vows, presenting themselves as a solid couple at the dramatic reunion episode.
Earlier this week, whilst several couples attempted to continue their relationships beyond the series, numerous pairs confirmed they had since separated.
Abi has now shared a touching message with followers on social media following her recent birthday celebrations. Posting on Instagram, the reality star provided an update on her relationship.
She posted: “Turns out marrying a stranger was the best birthday plot twist.”, reports OK!.
“My first birthday as a wife and honestly the happiest one yet [heart emoji ] Feeling grateful, loved and exactly where I am meant to be.”
The television personality debuted a fresh hair makeover, having opted for a darker shade compared to the blonde style viewers saw during the programme.
Messages of support quickly arrived from both co-stars and admirers, with fellow MAFS UK bride Leisha commenting: “You are just perfection.”
Bride Leigh wrote: “You are SO beautiful”, whilst Rebecca responded: “Happy Birthday you beautiful human forever grateful for you.”
Fans have been quick to share their love for the couple, with one writing: “Awwww happy birthday Abi you look amazing. So lovely to see you and John still so happy together enjoy every moment of this.”
Another commented: “Happy Birthday Abi… you really do show how to give and receive love so heartwarming .. wish you and John, all the best for the future.. a beautiful couple. Have the best day.”
Since the explosive reunion and final episodes of the show aired, only John and Abi remain as a couple following a series of announced breakups. It seems the pair’s relationship continues to go from strength to strength.
Abi took to Instagram today (November 19) to share a series of snaps showcasing what she and John have been up to during their first week post-MAFS UK.
She wrote: “Ever wondered what the first week after MAFS looks like? Here’s what John and I got up to, a whole week of FIRSTS!”.
From their first personal text message exchange to their inaugural beach barbecue together, the duo continue to relish their time spent together.
John also shared on his own Instagram that they’ve been spending more time together in North Wales, to which Abi responded: “Best feeling ever is to step into our new lives together! Wales = Home.”
