I’M A Celebrity host Ant McPartlin has hinted at his favourite campmate just days into the new series.
The TV presenter has already lashed out at this year’s stars for being a “bunch of idiots” – but one celeb has impressed him.
Interviewing Ant and Dec from Australia for This Morning, ITV star Alison Hammond asked: “I know you can’t say you think we will, but maybe who you would like to…?”
Ant said: “Aitch has surprised me.
“I’d seen him on YouTube and stuff and I didn’t think he was this fun.
“He doesn’t take himself as seriously as I thought he would.”
Ant made a scathing review on the second episode after watching Angry Ginge accidentally spill beans into the fire.
Commenting on the chaos, Ant said: “I’m going early here, alright, but this lot here are hapless.
“Bunch of idiots.
“They’re going to struggle in there, aren’t they? They really are.”
Aitch’s real name is Harrison James Armstrong.
The stage name “Aitch” is derived from the pronunciation of the letter ‘H,’ the first letter of his given name.
Speaking to Capital Xtra in 2019, the the rapper explained that when he was growing up in Manchester, his friends referred to him as ‘H’, which inspired his rap moniker.
Aitch said: “It’s really the letter ‘H’, innit? But I didn’t want to be boring and just do that, innit?
“Obviously, my real name begins with the letter ‘H’, innit? So, I’ve been called ‘H’ from time.
“But because we’re from down there, everyone just says it like ‘Aitch’. So I just spelled it that way.”
