Point guard Steph Curry has long been the benchmark for 3-point shooting excellence in the NBA, holding the all-time record for most made shots from beyond the arc and steadily building on that legacy.
Now in his 17th season with the Golden State Warriors at age 37, Curry’s place in basketball history is secure, with a first-ballot Hall of Fame induction awaiting him upon retirement.

His resume is stacked with accolades: an 11-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA honoree, and two-time league MVP. Even in his veteran years, Curry’s influence on the court remains unmatched.
In his first 16 games of the season, he’s posted impressive averages of 27.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists, shooting 47.1% from the field, 39.1% from three-point range, and 91.9% from the free-throw line.
Curry’s scoring prowess and efficiency continue to redefine the game, proving his enduring impact despite the toll of time. However, he’s sidelined for the last five games due to a left quadriceps contusion. The Warriors have held strong, winning three of those without him, highlighting their roster depth, but fans and teammates eagerly await his comeback

In a major update ahead of Friday’s clash with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared encouraging news on Curry’s recovery. The star fully participated in Wednesday’s practice, including a scrimmage—a key milestone he hadn’t reached earlier in his rehab.
When pressed on whether Curry might suit up for the home game against Minnesota, Kerr was measured yet positive: “Day to day,” he stated (h/t Nick Friedell of The Athletic). “But it’s looking good.”
Amidst injury setbacks, Curry is still laser-focused on securing a fifth NBA title and enhancing his legendary status. Flanked by an aging core including Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, he serves as the Warriors’ offensive powerhouse.
His unparalleled scoring range, space-creating shooting gravity, and ability to uplift those around him set him apart from other aging stars.
As long as Curry is active, Golden State believes they can compete at the highest level. His condition will be watched intently as the season progresses.
