It finally happened: Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green picked up his first ejection of the 2025-26 NBA season on Saturday night against the Phoenix Suns at Chase Center in San Francisco.
The incident unfolded in the second quarter when Green shoved Suns guard Collin Gillespie, earning his first technical foul. Moments later, he picked up a second technical for arguing with referee Pat Fraher, resulting in an automatic ejection.
But the real shock came after the whistle: video footage captured Green appearing to call Gillespie a “white boy” as teammates Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski attempted to calm him down.

Despite Green’s early exit — he played just eight minutes and contributed 4 points (2-for-2 shooting), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block — the Warriors still pulled out a 119-111 victory over the Suns.
Stephen Curry led the way with 28 points (9-for-19 shooting), while Jimmy Butler added 25 points (10-for-21) in his Warriors debut.
