DRAMA OVER! Stephen Curry issues nine-word apology to Jonathan Kuminga after ‘ridiculous’ Warriors report

The ongoing tension between the Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga appears to have reached a resolution, highlighted by Stephen Curry’s heartfelt apology following a controversial report about the team’s mishandling of the situation.

Before the Warriors traded the NBA champion forward to the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 4, signs of strain in their relationship were evident. A recent bombshell report from ESPN’s Anthony Slater revealed petty disputes that had soured the dynamic, including an accusation that someone close to Kuminga was taking too much food from the family room at Chase Center.

“He (Kuminga) knew management wanted to ding him for missing a team-requested event and alert him that someone around him was taking too much food from the family room,” Slater reported. “The gripes between player and organization, as multiple sources said, had become ‘petty’ in the fifth year of a relationship many believed should’ve ended years before.”

In the wake of the article’s publication, Curry quickly took to Instagram to defend his former teammate with a concise nine-word message: “I’m sorry, bro. This is ridiculous Go be Great.”

While Curry bears no responsibility for the fallout between Kuminga and the Warriors, his public show of support underscores his exemplary character. By calling out the report as “ridiculous,” Curry made it clear he stands firmly in Kuminga’s corner, refusing to let the organization’s attempts to tarnish his reputation go unchallenged.

For Kuminga, now embarking on a fresh start with the Hawks, knowing that a Warriors legend like Curry still has his back must provide a sense of closure to what had been a drawn-out and unnecessary drama. With this apology, the chapter seems firmly closed, allowing both sides to move forward.
