WARRIORS DROP A BOMBSHELL! Golden State signs a 1m96 tall guard, averaging 18.4 points, who just dominated the G-League to support Steph IN WINNING THE CROWN – NBA BETTER BE CAREFUL

The Golden State Warriors have reportedly filled their remaining open roster spot. According to Jake Fischer of the Stein Line, the team has signed 6-foot-5 former Los Angeles Lakers guard Nate Williams to a two-way contract.

Fischer reported Monday: “The Golden State Warriors are signing Nate Williams of the Long Island Nets to a two-way contract.”

It had been unclear which direction the Warriors would go with the final opening. Lonzo Ball appeared to be the most popular option among fans, especially since most of the franchise’s ideal buyout targets were no longer available. Instead, Golden State opted for a player with significantly less NBA experience than Ball.

Williams signed with the Lakers last September but was waived before opening night. Since entering the league in 2022, he has appeared in just 47 NBA games, averaging 3.9 points and 1.1 rebounds while shooting 51.7% from the field for his career. For comparison, Lonzo Ball (also a former Laker) has 322 career games, averaging 10.6 points, 5.6 assists, and 5.3 rebounds, shooting 39.2% FG and 35.5% from three.

Despite the limited track record, the Warriors clearly saw something in Williams to bring him aboard on a two-way deal this season. The Buffalo native could prove them right and eventually earn a standard contract with the seven-time NBA champions.
