Casemiro has officially confirmed he will depart Manchester United when the current season concludes, leaving the club with the urgent task of finding a sufficiently high-quality successor.
Recent reports have linked Eduardo Camavinga to Manchester United’s radar as a prime target.

Why Camavinga is an attractive option:
- Extremely versatile – can play defensive midfielder, central midfielder, even left-back when needed
- Exceptional stamina and work rate
- Mature game reading and decision-making beyond his years
- Not an irreplaceable starter at Real Madrid (especially with Tchouaméni, Valverde, Modrić, Bellingham, etc. ahead of him in the pecking order)
- Only 23 years old – massive long-term upside
If Manchester United are truly serious about pursuing Camavinga, the transfer could happen – but it would certainly not come cheap.
Real Madrid values him very highly, and any deal would likely require a massive fee (potentially in the €80–100 million+ range), plus possibly add-ons or player exchanges.
Still, there’s real hope United will at least try, because Camavinga is undeniably quality – right, brothers?
Current context (as of February 23, 2026):
- Casemiro (now 34) has struggled with form, fitness, and consistency this season
- His €350,000/week wages are among the highest at the club
- INEOS is actively trying to lower the wage bill and refresh the midfield
- Camavinga’s contract with Real Madrid runs until summer 2029 – no urgent need for Los Blancos to sell, which gives them strong negotiating power
United fans: Would you be willing to pay big money for Camavinga? Or do you think there are better (or cheaper) options like Ugarte (already at PSG), Zubimendi, Wharton, or even promoting a youth prospect?
