
On Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors will be in Texas to play the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors are coming off a 114-101 loss to the LA Clippers at home.
Kristaps Porzingis missed his fifth straight game.

UPDATE: Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out (h/t Underdog NBA).
Before Thursday’s showdown with the Rockets, ESPN’s Anthony Slater announced an update on Porzingis.
The Warriors have not yet announced their injury report.
Slater wrote: “Kristaps Porzingis is making the trip with the Warriors to Houston today, I’m told. No word yet on his playing status for next three (at Rockets, at Thunder, at Jazz) but notable development after staying back last road trip. He’s missed last five games with general illness.”

Kristaps Porzingis This Season

The 2018 NBA All-Star was traded to the Atlanta Hawks over the offseason.
In his short time with the Hawks, Porzingis had averages of 17.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 45.7% from the field and 36.0% from three-point range in 17 games.
He has appeared in just one game with Golden State, finishing with 12 points, one rebound, one assist and one block (in 17 minutes).
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints (added to Slater’s report): “Significant update for the Warriors and Kristaps Porzingis, who has not played in the last five games due to an illness. Porzingis traveling signals he will likely play at some point this week.”

Golden State This Season

The Warriors have dealt with a lot of injuries this season.
After losing in the second round of the 2025 playoffs, they are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 31-30 record in 61 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (and 12-17 on the road).
Following Houston, the Warriors will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

As for the Rockets, they are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 38-22 record in 60 games.
They have won seven out of their last ten games (and are 20-7 at home).
