GOLDEN STATE DROP A BOMBSHELL: Warriors Make Kristaps Porzingis Announcement Before Jazz Game

On Monday night, the Golden State Warriors will be in Salt Lake City to play the Utah Jazz.

The Warriors are coming off a 104-97 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder (on the road).

Kristaps Porzingis finished with nine points, five rebounds, five assists and one block while shooting 3/10 from the field in 23 minutes of playing time.

For Monday’s game, the Warriors have announced that they will be without Porzingis.

Underdog NBA: “Kristaps Porzingis (illness management) listed out for Monday.”

Porzingis has missed a lot of time this season, but he has averages of 16.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 35.1% from three-point range in 19 games.

He was traded to the Warriors (via the Atlanta Hawks) last month.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater wrote (after Saturday’s game): “Warriors hung in OKC, had the lead down to two late, but SGA closed. Gui Santos had 22. Kristaps Porzingis contributed in second GSW game. Kerr went big most of the night. They lost a game to Clippers in standings. Warriors looking for 2-1 road trip at Utah on Monday.”

Warriors Heading Into Jazz Clash

The Warriors are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 32-31 record in 63 games.

They have won four out of their last ten games (and are 13-18 on the road).

Following the Jazz, the Warriors will play their next game on Tuesday when they return home to host the Chicago Bulls.

Jazz Before Warriors Clash

The Jazz enter play as the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 19-45 record in 64 games.

They are 2-8 over their last ten games (and 11-21 at home).

Following the Warriors, the Jazz will play their next game on Wednesday night when they remain at home to host Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.
