The long wait for Moses Moody has finally come to an end.
The 23-year-old guard’s last appearance for head coach Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors came on March 2, in a 114-101 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Since then, Moody has sat out 10 consecutive games with a lingering right wrist sprain.

When healthy, Moody has been one of the Warriors’ most reliable contributors this season. The 6-foot-5 wing has appeared in 59 games (with 48 starts) and is posting career-high numbers across the board: 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 25.5 minutes per game. He’s shooting an efficient 44.1% from the field and a scorching 40.2% from beyond the arc on 2.5 made threes per contest.
The Warriors return to action on Monday night in Dallas against the Mavericks, wrapping up a tough six-game road trip. The shorthanded Dubs have struggled lately, going 1-4 on this current swing and sitting at 2-9 in March overall. They enter the matchup with a 33-38 record, good for 10th place in the Western Conference.
But there’s finally some positive news for Golden State: Moses Moody is back.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the game, four-time NBA champion coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Moody has been cleared to play against the Mavericks. He had been trending toward a return and was listed as questionable earlier, but has now received the full green light — marking his first game action in more than three weeks.
Moody’s return should help ease the burden on players like Will Richard and Gary Payton II, who have been filling in during his absence. That said, Kerr is expected to bring Moody back gradually, carefully managing his minutes after the extended layoff.
With Moody reintegrated into the rotation, the Warriors will hope his scoring punch and efficient shooting can spark a much-needed turnaround as they push for a stronger finish to the season.
The wait is officially over — Moses Moody is ready to suit up once again.
