OFFICIALLY UNANIMOUS! Mac McClung Just Did What No One Else In G LEAGUE Hisstory Could! BACK-TO-BACK MVP IS HIS, AND HE’S ONLY GETTING STARTED!

Mac McClung’s hard work with the Windy City Bulls has paid off again with his second NBA G League MVP honors.

Mac McClung’s relentless hard work with the Windy City Bulls has paid off once again. On Friday, the Chicago Bulls two-way guard was officially named the 2025-26 Kia NBA G League Most Valuable Player, becoming the first player in league history to win the award twice.

This marks McClung’s second MVP honor after claiming the top individual accolade in the 2023–24 season with the Osceola Magic. His latest triumph cements his status as one of the most dominant and consistent performers the G League has ever seen.

In the 2025-26 campaign with the Windy City Bulls, McClung delivered a sensational statistical masterpiece. He averaged a league-leading 31.8 points and 7.9 assists per game while shooting an efficient 51.5% from the field and 38.1% from beyond the arc. His scoring prowess and playmaking ability powered the affiliate squad night after night, showcasing both explosive athleticism and refined basketball IQ.

McClung’s season featured unforgettable highlights that underscored his elite talent. On March 10, he exploded for 54 points against the College Park Skyhawks — the fifth-highest scoring output in G League history at the time. Just two weeks later, on March 24, he outdid himself with a staggering 59-point performance against the Birmingham Squadron, the third-highest scoring game in league annals. These outbursts, combined with his overall dominance, left no doubt about his MVP worthiness.

The journey to this historic repeat has been anything but conventional. McClung first joined the Chicago Bulls organization during the 2021-22 season, primarily developing in the G League. Brief stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers followed, before he emerged as a standout with the Orlando Magic in 2024-25, where he also captured his first G League MVP while averaging 25.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists. Along the way, he thrilled fans by winning three consecutive NBA Slam Dunk Contests during All-Star Weekend.

In November, McClung returned to the Chicago Bulls fold, rejoining the Windy City Bulls and immediately picking up where he left off. This season, he also saw limited NBA action, appearing in three regular-season games with the Indiana Pacers.

What makes McClung’s achievement even more remarkable is the context: despite his undeniable talent and highlight-reel plays, he has carved out a unique path as a two-way player, using the G League as his primary proving ground. His back-to-back MVPs are not just personal milestones — they reflect tireless dedication, continuous improvement, and an unwavering commitment to excellence at every level.

As the first player to earn multiple G League MVP awards, Mac McClung has etched his name permanently into the league’s record books. At just 27 years old, with elite scoring, elite vision, and proven clutch performances, he shows no signs of slowing down.

The basketball world will be watching closely to see how this latest chapter translates to more NBA opportunities. For now, though, the message is clear: Mac McClung is the undisputed king of the G League — and he’s only getting started.
