CHICAGO — As the Bulls continue their front-office overhaul amid a full-scale rebuild, the organization has made another significant addition to its basketball operations. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Chicago is hiring former NBA guard Acie Law as its new Vice President of Player Personnel.

The move comes while Bulls representatives are actively scouting prospects at this week’s NBA Draft Combine, signaling an aggressive effort to reshape the organization from top to bottom. Law’s hire marks his fourth front-office stop since transitioning from his playing career and represents a notable coup for Chicago, as it poaches a key executive from the Brooklyn Nets.
A Veteran Eye for Talent Joins a Rebuilding Bulls
After a disappointing season that accelerated Chicago’s pivot toward a rebuild, the Bulls have been proactive in reshaping leadership. Bryson Graham has assumed control of the front office and recently parted ways with NBA G League GM Josh Malone. Adding Law balances that departure with proven experience and championship pedigree.
Law, a standout at Texas A&M from 2003 to 2007, was selected 11th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2007 NBA Draft. He spent two seasons in Atlanta before brief stints with the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte, and the Chicago Bulls during his playing days. His final NBA season came in 2010-11, split between the Memphis Grizzlies and a second stint with Golden State, where he averaged 15.8 minutes off the bench across 40 games.
Overseas, Law elevated his game and résumé. He became a two-time EuroLeague champion and captured one Greek League title, gaining valuable exposure to high-level winning cultures and international talent evaluation — experience that should translate well to player personnel decisions in today’s global NBA.
Building a Championship Blueprint
Upon returning to the United States, Law quickly established himself in scouting and personnel roles. He began as a scout with the Sacramento Kings before rising to Director of Amateur Scouting for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Most recently, during the 2025-26 season, he served as Director of Player Personnel for the Brooklyn Nets.
Now, Law brings that wealth of knowledge — and a championship mindset forged in Europe — to a Bulls team eager to infuse its rebuild with winning DNA. His responsibilities as Vice President of Player Personnel will likely involve overseeing pro and amateur scouting, supporting draft preparation, and contributing to long-term roster construction decisions under Graham’s leadership.
With the Draft Combine underway and Chicago fully committed to its rebuild, the addition of Acie Law represents more than a routine hire. It’s a calculated move to inject proven international success and front-office expertise into an organization determined to return to contention. Bulls fans hoping for smarter, more patient decision-making in the years ahead may have just received a significant reason for optimism.
