In the loss, the Yankees managed just four hits, continuing their offensive struggles. Superstar Aaron Judge, a likely candidate for his third American League MVP Award, went 0-for-4, dropping his batting average to .372. While Judge remains a force at the plate, his chances of becoming the first player to hit .400 since Ted Williams’ .406 in 1941 are fading. Meanwhile, Giancarlo Stanton, recently returned from the injured list, provided a rare bright spot, going 2-for-4 for his second consecutive two-hit game. However, Stanton’s efforts were not enough to spark the lineup.
