Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola and her estranged husband Todd Nepola are proving that love doesn’t always follow a straight path. Despite finalizing their divorce in March 2025, the former couple is rewriting the rules of post-split relationships with a steamy, no-strings-attached arrangement that’s turning heads.
Spotted kissing in the surf off Miami Beach on April 29, Alexia, 58, and Todd, 52, are keeping the sparks alive in a way that defies convention. According to an exclusive source who spoke to Life & Style, “It was Todd who initiated the breakup and Todd who initiated this new arrangement.” While their unconventional setup may raise eyebrows, it seems to be working — especially for Alexia, who’s balancing her commitment to The Real Housewives of Miami with her undeniable connection to Todd.
“Todd filed for divorce because the show got in the way,” the insider revealed, pointing to RHOM as a major factor in their split. “Alexia seems willing to do almost anything to keep him in her life except quit the show.” For Alexia, the reality series is non-negotiable, but the fact that Todd “can’t stay away” even after the divorce speaks volumes. “She’s still on the show but she won’t be forever, so she’s not ignoring the fact that there’s still something between them,” the source added.

Not anybody else,” she told Page Six at the RHOM Season 7 premiere. “I would definitely love to renew my vows one day with him, but I’m definitely not getting married to anyone else, that’s for sure!”

Reflecting on their televised December 2021 nuptials, Alexia admitted, “Looking back, I knew it was something he didn’t want and he didn’t feel comfortable with. I do regret it.” She added, “I would definitely not do it on TV. I feel like that’s such a special moment between the bride and the groom. Filming takes away [from] everything.”
