In a dramatic escalation of their ongoing legal battle, Denise Richards has taken her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, to court, accusing him of stealing her laptop and leaking private nude photos and text messages to the press. The 54-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum filed a motion on July 28, 2025, obtained by Us Weekly, alleging that Phypers, 52, committed a crime by disseminating sensitive personal information without her consent.
Richards claims Phypers violated a temporary restraining order (TRO) she secured against him earlier this month, following allegations of horrific abuse. In her filing, she accuses him of repeatedly accessing her laptop and sharing compromising content, including nude photographs and private text messages, with multiple media outlets. “Aaron accessing my private information on my laptop and disseminating the information is not only abuse and a violation of the TRO, but the disseminating of nude photographs is a criminal act,” Richards stated, expressing her “extreme distress” over the situation.

The filing details Phypers’ alleged actions, including his participation in interviews where he admitted to accessing Richards’ text messages. In one interview, he accused Richards of infidelity with her Special Forces co-star, Rudy Rayes, and supported his claims by leaking additional photos and messages from her stolen device. Richards described images published in the media, including “a picture of me with my breast completely exposed and another picture of my buttocks,” as well as a photo of her phone in Phypers’ hand, displaying her private texts. She also noted that Phypers claimed to have found over 100 “raunchy text messages” on her device, further fueling the public scandal.
Richards’ motion demands the immediate return of her laptop and other devices, along with all images, text messages, and recordings in Phypers’ possession, by the end of Monday, July 28. Although the court previously granted her a TRO, it did not include provisions to restrict Phypers’ access to her devices. Now, Richards is urgently seeking judicial intervention to protect her privacy and halt further leaks.
Despite warnings from Richards’ legal team to cease sharing her private information, Phypers has continued to speak out. In a statement to Us Weekly, he denied the allegations, calling them “false” and accusing Richards of weaponizing the claims to tarnish his reputation. “These claims are not only untrue — they are being weaponized to distract from the truth,” Phypers asserted.
The courtroom saga has yet to reach a resolution, with the judge still deliberating on Richards’ latest motion. As the former couple’s dispute intensifies, the public watches closely, awaiting the court’s decision in this high-profile case of privacy, betrayal, and alleged criminality.
