THE ENEMY WITHIN! Clare Balding’s Brother Picks The WORST Possible Time To Spill The Beans, And It’s Even Worse Than The Traitors On The Show!

Clare Balding’s brother has taken a brutal swipe at her Celebrity Traitors appearance after the TV presenter was banished from the castle this week.

The BBC Sport host, 54, was sent packing by her co-stars in a tense cliffhanger episode on Thursday night, after being voted off as a Traitor, despite being Faithful throughout the BBC gameshow.

The shocking scenes saw much of the cast turn on Clare after a number of the stars made their arguments as to who they thought was guilty at the roundtable.

Now, her brother Andrew, 52, has made a surprising admission – that he hasn’t even tuned in to watch Clare take part in the popular series, despite its huge popularity.

The race horse trainer admitted that he hadn’t had time to tune into the series, after focusing on the QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot over the weekend.

He said: ‘I’m ashamed to say I haven’t had a chance to watch Traitors.’

Andrew admitted he was ‘ashamed’ to say he hadn’t been watching Clare’s appearance on the BBC One show

‘I think we’ll get it on iPlayer and maybe when the kids are back for half-term we’ll watch it then. I have to try and work out how it… I don’t understand the rules,’ he added, according to The Mirror.

Clare’s brother won’t have much action to tune into when it comes to her involvement in the show, as she was voted out on the fourth episode of the new series.

The beloved journalist and presenter received the most votes after a whispering campaign by Traitor Jonathan Ross, who narrowly avoided getting exposed himself.

During the roundtable, Charlotte Church had dug into Clare too, admitting she thought the presenter was a Traitor because she had been ‘drawing her attention’ towards Kate Garraway.

Her argument appeared to help to convince a number of the other Faithfuls to vote for Clare, who was later banished from Ardross Castle.

Standing in front of her co-stars, Clare said: ‘I came in with only one strategy, which was to be nice to absolutely everyone.

‘I’ve had the best time, I love all of you. I am, and have been from the start, a Faithful.’

Gutted, Stephen Fry reacted to the news: ‘Oh my god, how are we so useless, we’ve lost a great Faithful. What have we done?’

While Jonathan said to the camera: ‘I’ve got to be the luckiest Traitor, the Faithfuls did our dirty work for us. Everyone’s going to be scratching away at each other now’.

Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer Paloma Faith was the show’s first victim, and her ‘death’ was revealed in a twisted game where she was placed in a coffin.

After the group banished Faithful Niko Omilana at the roundtable, the trio of Traitors were seen meeting in the tower to discuss their next victim.

Setting their sights on Olympian Tom Daley, Alan, 49, Jonathan, 64, and Cat, 25, admitted they were concerned that where the ‘perceptive’ diver ‘didn’t trust anybody’, he’d be quick to turn his sights on one of them.

Tom, 31, was issued a note to signal his death.

Two more Faithfuls also met their fate in episodes this week after being banished from the series at the roundtable – with their co-stars incorrectly guessing they were Traitors.

Tameka Empson and Clare Balding were both sent packing after having the finger pointed at them during the tense discussions.

Fans are certain that the trio of Traitors now have their sights set on Charlotte Church

Now, fans have been busy speculating about who could be next to be murdered by the Traitors, with singer Charlotte, 39, in the firing line.

The trio of Traitors admitted they had set their sights on Charlotte, historian David Olusoga and Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway.

Traitor Jonathan, admitted he was worried that if Charlotte then ‘got a bead’ of any information that pointed towards him, Cat, or Alan, she would ‘run with it’ and that ‘people would listen’ – possibly leading to them being discovered.

Discussing their other options, Kate, 58, and David, 55, the Traitors admitted both players would be useful ‘scapegoats’ to pin the killings on – making it seem unlikely the trio would choose either of them.

Taking to X to react to the scenes, viewers admitted they were certain they have already got it sussed out that she would be next to go.

‘Well… I think tonight’s murder is a bit obvious… Bye Charlotte,’ one fan penned on X, as another agreed: ‘I’m calling it now, Charlotte’s going.’

‘It has to be Charlotte murdered by the Traitors now,’ a third added, while a fourth wrote: ‘I’m just gonna guess it’s Charlotte being killed next.’
