Big Brother viewers have criticised Elsa and Marcus’ “showmance”, threatening to stop watching the show.
The series has recently been thrown into turmoil as tensions escalate in the Big Brother house. Not long ago, Farida, Emily and Sam made a return after being hidden away in a secret room, with Farida promptly delivering some home truths to the housemates.
Newcomer Farida informed Elsa that she appears to be more engrossed in her blossoming romance, a comment which didn’t sit well with Marcus, leading to a massive argument between the two.
In tonight’s episode (October 21), Marcus and Elsa were seen discussing the previous night’s events as he offered his apologies to her.

Marcus said to her: “Obviously I want to start off by apologising. There was never any ill feeling like anger towards you and if it came across that way I apologise, it didn’t mean to be like that… it escalated and it probably wouldn’t have if we had a conversation like this just one-to-one,” reports OK!.
Marcus admitted it “shouldn’t have escalated”, adding: “It just bothered me, just Caroline of all people, like how many times have you come to me and said about Caroline saying things that have got nothing to do with her, and then it’s her of all people that you’re speaking to in the kitchen.”
He continued: “I just can’t be a***d with any of it..”
However, as Elsa and Marcus tried to smooth things over, Big Brother viewers were left unimpressed.
Taking to X, one fan said: “Am i watching big brother or love island”, as another replied: “Elsa will thrive and shine once we get marcus out that house.”
A third added: “Elsa and Marcus can go never been a fan of this showmance.” A fourth said: “So sick of this showmance.”
One fan commented: “I’m exhausted with the Elsa and Marcus showmance, GET MARCUS OUT.”

Another echoed: “Honestly, the whole Elsa and Marcus storyline is getting beyond silly. I’m sick of it.”
One viewer simply said on social media “I’m not watching this anymore” as others described it as “boring” as one person said “I can’t watch this.”
The most recent episode also witnessed the housemates once more putting forward their nominations for this week’s eviction.
Caroline, Emily and Farida have immunity, meaning Feyisola, Nancy, Tate and Teja will be battling it out in the public vote before Friday evening’s live elimination on ITV2 and ITVX.
During the programme, Tate was handed five nominations from Elsa, Feyisola, Jenny, Teja and Zelah whilst Feyisola secured four nominations from Caroline, Richard, Sam and Tate.
Nancy was given four nominations from Cameron, Jenny, Marcus and Teja. Meanwhile, Teja was dealt four nominations from Caroline, Emily, Farida and Nancy.
The voting process for Friday’s elimination kicks off at 10pm tonight (Oct 21) with audiences being urged to vote for the contestant they want to rescue from eviction.
