Married at First Sight UK viewers were on tenterhooks as Divarni revealed whether he wanted to stay or leave the experiment during Wednesday’s (22 October) episode.
The groom has persisted in trying to make his marriage work with Julia-Ruth, who has made it abundantly clear she isn’t physically attracted to her husband and even confessed to fancying co-star Steven.
With the remaining cast turning on Julia-Ruth and confronting her for repeatedly disrespecting Divarni, most anticipated he would finally decide to quit the marriage and programme.
Nevertheless, Divarni left everyone stunned by opting to stay, pledging to give his marriage one last opportunity.

MAFS expert Paul C Brunson was taken aback by the choice and ordered Divarni and Julia-Ruth to exit the experiment at the next commitment ceremony if they hadn’t resolved their problems, reports OK!.
Their fellow contestants were equally astonished, with Leah labelling Divarni “delusional” in a post-ceremony interview.
Viewers at home expressed similar sentiments on social media, with one posting: “Divarni is DELUSIONAL #MAFSUK,” whilst another remarked: “Divarni you don’t want to be saved #MAFSUK.”
A third penned: “Divarni is here for fame. He knows that Julia Ruth is completely in the wrong and so he is most likely getting sympathy from the viewers. That’s the only reason he’s staying #MAFSUK.”
Wednesday’s episode witnessed all remaining couples being whisked away to a retreat, where they spent quality time with both their partners and fellow participants.
The celebrities didn’t hesitate to dissect Divarni and Julia-Ruth’s situation, with Bailey expressing his curiosity about whether Divarni had genuinely overheard Nelly’s remarks concerning Julia-Ruth and her spouse Steven, following Nelly’s allegation that Julia-Ruth’s strategy was to grow closer to Steven during the partner exchange week.

At the same time, Bec observed that Julia-Ruth appears incapable of doing anything wrong in her husband Divarni’s view.
Julia-Ruth informed her spouse that the “most important thing” was for them to concentrate on their marriage and maintain “tunnel vision” moving forward, whilst Divarni confessed he was “hesitant” about choosing to stay, but decided to remain in order to repair their relationship.
Nevertheless, on the opening evening of the couples’ retreat, Divarni chose to sleep separately, confessing to Julia-Ruth that he felt as though he’d been “hit with a ton of bricks” after absorbing everyone’s viewpoints and processing recent events.
