Here at heat, we know we write the words ‘obsessed’ and ‘icon’ way too often – so often, in fact, those words might have lost all their punch. And that’s a shame, because right now, we really wish we could use them honestly. Because with full sincerity, and from the very depths of our showbiz souls: we are genuinely obsessed with the Celebrity Traitors cast. This group isn’t just full of stars – it’s full of icons, every single one. And one of those icons is Faithful, Ruth Codd.

Ruth was ‘murdered’ in episode four – and let’s be honest, Traitor Jonathan Ross swung the scythe. Her ‘murder’ followed a period where Codd had openly voiced her suspicions that Jonathan was a Traitor. Jonathan, along with fellow Traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr, ultimately selected Codd for elimination, citing her as ‘the only sensible choice’ because she was perceived as a real threat to their strategy.

Codd’s outspokenness made her a standout among the Faithfuls; she later commented, ‘I was murdered definitely because I was a threat to the Traitors. Her ‘murder’ occurred alongside Clare Balding’s banishment from the game.
