“I’M OUT!” – THE DECLARATION THAT SHOOK MAFS UK: With just one statement from a groom, two marriages crumbled in an unbelievable collapse, creating the most chaotic night ever.

During the most recent episode of Married at First Sight UK, E4 audiences witnessed drama erupt at the countryside retreat dinner party.

In recent scenes, Maeve found herself on her own as her husband Joe had returned home to be with his family following the tragic death of his grandfather.

While Maeve and Joe appeared to be on solid ground previously, even exchanging declarations of love, Joe opened up to Ashley, revealing his uncertainty about his feelings for his wife.

As Maeve told the group she hadn’t received any contact from her husband and questioned whether he would come back, Joe made a surprise return on Sunday evening.

Entering their retreat accommodation, Joe admitted to cameras he felt anxious as their marriage was hanging in the balance, reports OK!.

Though he expressed his desire to continue their relationship, this unfortunately proved not to be the situation.

When reunited with Maeve, it became apparent she was displeased with his casual approach to their reunion, revealing she was aware of his conversation with Ashley.

Despite attempting to discuss what had transpired, Maeve refused to listen as Joe responded: “It’s just not going to work is it? Yeah, this ain’t going to get resolved so let’s just call it a day. I don’t give a f**k, I actually don’t, I don’t care. F**k this.”

Subsequently, Maeve arrived at the dinner party on her own and instantly burst into tears, revealing to the group that Joe had come back but had called time on their marriage.

As Bailey chose to go and have a word with Joe to get his perspective, it became apparent he was finished with the experiment.

He confided in his mate: “It’s not working, I came here with positive intentions, to potentially carry it on. It didn’t go how I thought it was going to go, that’s that.”

When questioned whether the marriage was over, he responded: “Of course”. As he made his way back to the vehicle, Joe informed producers the marriage was completely finished, stating, “It’s done.”

Nevertheless, it wasn’t just Maeve and Joe whose union reached its conclusion during the dinner party. Throughout recent episodes, Julia-Ruth and Divarni’s relationship has encountered turbulent waters, following the revelation that they had been intimate despite her assertions that she wasn’t attracted to him.

During the evening, the duo attempted to have a discussion, though it rapidly turned into a heated exchange. Choosing to propose a toast to the group, she declared: “In all honesty, this has been fun, this has been iconic, this has been amazing, made some great friendships.

“I’ve made an amazing ex-husband, Divarni and I are gone now so good luck, may the odds be ever in your favour, keep it real, it is a game. Have fun, cheers to the chaos here, here.”

Despite the group’s evident displeasure with her delivery, leading to a fiery argument in which Bailey labelled her ‘evil’, the couple confirmed their marriage was over.

However, a sneak peek of the upcoming commitment ceremony showed the pair together on the sofa.
