Married at First Sight UK star Keye Luke has shared the real reason the couple’s relationship came to an end
Married at First Sight’s Keye Luke has revealed the truth behind his shocking split from Davide Anica.
The pair were matched at the start of the E4 experiment and seemed to have a promising relationship.
But despite expressing sincere final vows, Keye announced their separation earlier this month, with Davide also releasing a statement about the ‘painful’ breakup.
Both grooms explained that Keye’s use of the dating app Grindr led to the abrupt end of their relationship.
Now, the 33-year-old Londoner has spoken candidly about the events leading up to the breakup on the Avoiding My Anxiously Attached Boyfriend podcast.

“The job that I was meant to go into when we came out fell through, so everyone else kind of went back to work, went back to their normal lives and I just had a dead period of nothing,” Keye shared with hosts Faris Haddadin and Josh Winter.
He continued: “So my mental health really suffered and I ended up in just a really bad place. I was talking to Davide about it, obviously, a lot.”
As a flight attendant, Davide often travelled abroad for extended periods, during which Keye would call him to discuss his mental health.
However, Keye’s openness about his mental struggles began having a ‘detrimental effect’ on Davide, reports OK!.
Keye disclosed: “But me talking about it started to have a detrimental affect on his wellbeing because I was like phoning him crying, while he was in different countries. Because I was struggling and felt like I was drowning.
“So we decided that I wouldn’t talk to him about it anymore because it was too much for him to deal with.”

Following this decision, Keye explains the relationship “spiralled then ended”. According to the groom, the pair had discussed Keye “not talking” about his personal difficulties on a Friday.
Davide subsequently left for work on Saturday, and Keye installed the LGBTQ+ dating app the next morning.
He explained: “[On] Sunday morning, I spiralled, had a breakdown, downloaded Grindr. He [Davide] then downloaded Grindr and then found me on there.
“He had a suspicion that I was on there because I wasn’t responding to his calls,” Keye continued.

Whilst he had joined a dating platform, the groom was actually seeking recreational drugs, which he referred to as ‘substances’.
“We all know we can get things there [on Grindr] free if you’re pretty,” he clarified.
However, when Davide discovered his profile, he ended the relationship via text message and blocked him on all platforms.
The pair have subsequently “tried to talk” but they haven’t managed to reignite their connection.
Keye also acknowledged that the separation wasn’t his choice, and even revealed he would be open to reconciling with Davide.
