The I’m A Celebrity jungle is getting seriously steamy this year, and it’s all thanks to Aitch and Shona McGarty, who are serving full-on “will-they-won’t-they” energy in Doomsville.
What started as a punishment for losing a challenge has quickly turned into the most entertaining love bubble on television. The pair, both freshly single, have been banished to the stripped-back camp, and viewers are now convinced something very real is brewing between the 25-year-old Manchester rapper and the 34-year-old former EastEnders star.

Wednesday night’s episode treated us to scenes that had the entire nation screaming at their TVs: lingering eye contact, flirty banter, a chaotic pillow fight, and Shona in a bikini washing while Aitch couldn’t stop grinning like a Cheshire cat.
At one point the pair were gazing into each other’s eyes when Shona told him, “You’ve got yellow in your eyes… it’s nice.” Cue collective meltdown.
Then came the pillow fight of the series. Shona repeatedly whacked Aitch with a pillow before he trapped her in a playful leg lock and hit her back. As they collapsed in giggles on the floor, Shona squealed, “Why are your thighs so strong?!”
Aitch, clearly loving every second, declared: “I’m starting to see the beauty in Doomsville now.”
Even Ant and Dec can’t pretend they’re just good pals anymore. On I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked, the Geordie duo and Joel Dommett replayed the thigh-squeezing moment and lost it.
“I love it. I just want to find love in the jungle,” Ant laughed, while the three of them mock-swooned in Shona’s voice: “Why are your thighs so strong? My hero!”
Back in camp, the other celebrities are already shipping it hard. Vogue Williams pointed out that “her and Aitch are single now,” while Tom Read Wilson gushed, “They would make a gorgeous pair – those bright blue eyes!” Vogue added, “And they both love music.”
Aitch has been dropping hints for days. While cooling off in the creek, he confessed to Angry Ginge: “I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Shona, me.” Ginge, playing wingman, replied, “Yeah… she is.”
But the clearest evidence yet came in an unseen clip shown on Unpacked that somehow made the main show look tame: more pillow-fighting chaos, splashing, and chemistry so thick you could bottle it.
Even Aitch’s manager Via Culpan, who flew into Australia yesterday to support him, was quizzed about the romance. When asked if they’d make a cute couple, she laughed: “They’re both nice people… yeah, I don’t know!” Before adding cautiously, “I personally think it’s more of a brother-sister relationship.”
Sorry, Via, but the footage says otherwise.
With both stars single (Shona recently split from fiancé David Bracken, while Aitch quietly ended things with long-term girlfriend Lois Cottam just before entering the jungle), the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
Move over jungle trials – the real challenge this year is whether Aitch and Shona will leave the jungle as an official couple.
And if Ant and Dec are already planning the wedding speech, you know it’s serious.
