Let’s be honest, the entire nation is still in recovery mode after the heartbreak that was Bailey Smith and Rebecca “Becks” Fenney on Married At First Sight UK series 10.
From that explosive “alpha male” row on their wedding day to the genuinely adorable way they seemed to fall for each other week after week, most of us had them pegged as the couple who might actually go the distance (or at least survive past the reunion). We were ready to stan.
Then, just days after the reunion aired, the devastating news dropped: they’d split. Becks wasted no time throwing shade, posting a cryptic “he fumbled” on her Instagram story that sent the group chats into meltdown. Bailey, ever the gentleman, simply said, “We tried our best to navigate life after the experiment,” without pointing fingers.
Fast-forward a few months and the rumor mill went into absolute overdrive, with multiple cheating allegations swirling around Bailey. Fans were convinced he’d been unfaithful during the relationship, with names of exes and random girls being thrown around like confetti.
Now, Bailey has finally broke his silence in an interview with Yahoo! News, and he did NOT hold back.
“Oh god. That was something I didn’t expect,” he admitted. “Just from the start, I’ve had multiple different rumours that I cheated with multiple different people. I had my ex, I had this person, I had that person… It was quite difficult because you can’t really speak on it. You release a statement and people just believe what they read. I really struggled with that.”
But the biggest bombshell? Reports emerged that Becks was left “devastated” after discovering Bailey had hooked up with a close friend of their co-star April Holmes… at a festival… very shortly after their break-up.
A source spilled to The Sun: “Bailey was single when he hooked up with April’s friend, but it was soon after the break-up. Bailey ended his relationship with Bec, who was devastated to hear just how quickly he’d moved on.”
So… did he actually cheat while they were still together?
According to everything Bailey and sources have said so far, no, the hook-up happened after the split. Messy timing? 100%. Technically infidelity? Apparently not.
Meanwhile, Becks opened up in an emotional Instagram Q&A, confirming it was Bailey who pulled the plug.
“It was Bailey’s decision to end things,” she revealed. “Where you say ‘Really thought you were both happy’… we were happy. Everything you saw on the show, how our relationship developed from the wedding day to the honeymoon and then every week after that, was real and it was our life. The edit completely captured that.”
Heartbreaking.
So there you have it, the cheating-while-together rumors look to be false, but the “moving on lightning-fast and breaking Becks’ heart” part? Unfortunately very, very true.
