Along with being a strong defender, James was one of the more reliable 3-point shooting threats in college this past year.”
Siegel’s analysis highlights James’ ability to shine despite being overshadowed by Duke’s high-profile trio of Flagg, Maluach, and Knueppel, all projected as top-10 picks. The 22-year-old senior put together an impressive campaign, averaging 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 0.8 steals per game while shooting an efficient 51.6% from the field and 41.3% from beyond the arc.
James’ defensive prowess and improved three-point shooting make him an ideal fit for the Warriors’ bench. Golden State struggled to find consistent bench production during their playoff run, and James could provide the spark they need. His ability to lock down opponents and knock down open shots aligns perfectly with the Warriors’ fast-paced, defense-to-offense style of play.
