However, the game quickly turned controversial. Jaden McDaniels of the Timberwolves grabbed Curry’s hand and pushed him to the floor. Although the referees witnessed the incident, a foul was called on Stephen Curry.

The Warriors ultimately fell 120-127 to Minnesota, which snapped their two-game winning streak. Even with Curry back in action, Golden State struggled. The Timberwolves, trailing 88-91, unleashed a dominant 20-5 run to start the fourth quarter and at last overpowered the Warriors to secure the victory.

On his return from a left quad injury, Curry ended the game with a game-high 39 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Jimmy Butler added 15 points, Quentin Post scored 16 points, and Pat Spencer had 12 points in the loss.

Carmelo Anthony Comments On Stephen Curry In The GOAT Debate

On The Big Podcast, Carmelo Anthony shared his perspective on where Stephen Curry stands in the conversation about the NBA’s greatest players.

In Steph’s eyes, think about what he probably thinks. I don’t know, but he probably sits there & says, ‘it’s Mike, it’s Kobe, & then it’s me.’ Right? He’s not gonna put Bron over himself,” Melo said.

Curry’s impact on the game is undeniable. He has cemented himself as the league’s premier sharpshooter and led the Warriors to four NBA championships. Beyond his scoring ability, Stephen Curry’s loyalty to the franchise since being drafted adds to his legacy. While he may not surpass LeBron James in overall statistics and milestones, his influence and unique skill set firmly place him in the GOAT conversation.
