HEAT DROP A BOMBSHELL! The $163M Star’s – Bam Adebayo Brutal 3-Word Reaction To Posterizing His Own Teammate.

The Miami Heat delivered a statement performance on Sunday afternoon (February 8, 2026), blowing out the Washington Wizards 132-101 at Kaseya Center — and the highlight of the night came courtesy of Bam Adebayo, who threw down a thunderous putback dunk… right over his own teammate Kel’el Ware.

The sequence unfolded in the second quarter: Davion Mitchell launched a mid-range jumper that clanged off the rim. Both Adebayo and Ware went crashing for the offensive rebound. Adebayo’s momentum carried him higher, and he rose above Ware to finish a ferocious one-handed slam — a clean, friendly poster that left Ware on the floor laughing in disbelief.

The moment quickly went viral, and Adebayo couldn’t resist reliving it in the locker room afterward. He made Ware watch the replay on repeat, playfully charging at him while saying:

“I ain’t never dunked on my teammate in a game, though. Like that.”

Davion Mitchell joined in on the fun, joking that the dunk looked straight out of a “hoop mixtape where they reframe it.” Adebayo even took to X after the game, asking fans for a photo of the poster:

“Anybody got the photo? Ima put it in his locker lol”

Ware, for his part, refused to give any public reaction — wisely choosing silence over feeding the banter.

Ware’s strong stat line despite the poster

Despite being on the wrong end of the highlight, Ware had himself a very solid outing off the bench:

  • 19 points
  • 14 rebounds
  • 19 minutes

The second-year big continues to show flashes of his massive upside — efficient scoring inside, strong presence on the glass, and growing defensive activity.

Spoelstra likes the Adebayo-Ware pairing

Head coach Erik Spoelstra was pleased with how the two bigs looked together on the floor:

“I liked it today. We want to see where we can maximize the rotation as much as possible. Particularly with that second unit, Bam has been a great anchor for us. It will also depend on how productive it can be… Defensively, that unit was very stable and active. Offensively, we were able to manage the spacing and really pound them on the glass, which is what that lineup needs to do.”

The Bam + Ware frontcourt combo gives Miami size, versatility, and rebounding dominance — something Spoelstra clearly wants to experiment with more down the stretch.

Heat improve to 28-26

The blowout victory moved Miami to 28-26 — still 8th in the Eastern Conference — with two games left before the All-Star break:

  • Monday: vs. Utah Jazz
  • (Second game TBD)

Ware could very well get his revenge shot on Adebayo soon — or at least try. For now, though, Bam owns the locker-room bragging rights.
