FORMER Chelsea star Tariq Lamptey has had his contract terminated by Serie A side Fiorentina after playing just 25 minutes.
Lamptey, 25, only arrived in Florence last summer in a £5million deal from Brighton.

The wing-back joined Chelsea‘s academy at eight and stayed until he was 19, making his debut against Arsenal in 2019.
He was one of the many “Cobham kids” to break through under Frank Lampard during the club’s transfer ban.
Lamptey made just three appearances for the Blues before snubbing a new contract to join Brighton on deadline day in 2020.
He played 122 times for the Seagulls but was plagued by the injury problems that have now followed him to Italy.
The Ghana international, who represented England at youth level, has managed just TWO games for the Serie A side.
He has managed just TWO appearances for Fiorentina, though, after suffering another devastating setback in Italy.
His debut against Napoli lasted only four minutes after he came off the bench in a defeat.
And things went from bad to worse weeks later when Lamptey ruptured his ACL just 21 minutes into his first start.
That horror injury came against Como, managed by former Chelsea legend Cesc Fabregas, 39.
The two outings saw him rack up just 25 minutes in the iconic purple shirt of the Florence giants.
The club have now agreed to mutually terminate his contract despite him signing a three-year deal last term
He will be a free agent when the transfer window opens on June 15.
But any club signing him will be wary of his fitness record following his latest devastating blow.
