BREAKING: The Shocking Reason Man Utd Labeled Two Stars “Not for Sale at Any Price”

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has issued a stern message to squad players seeking January moves, emphasizing that the club’s interests will override individual ambitions in the upcoming transfer window.

MANCHESTER – As the January transfer window approaches, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has set clear priorities for his squad. In a definitive statement addressing the futures of Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee, the Portuguese tactician made it unequivocally clear that the club’s needs will take precedence over any player’s World Cup aspirations.

Both Mainoo and Zirkzee have found first-team opportunities limited this season and are reportedly keen on securing moves away from Old Trafford to bolster their chances of featuring in next summer’s World Cup. However, despite their fringe status, both players remain regular fixtures in Amorim’s matchday squads, creating a delicate balancing act for the manager.

The first thing is that the club comes first, so we have to think about the club and the team, and then everything can happen,” Amorim stated in his pre-match press conference. “I was a football player, I understand everything, and I want to help my players in every situation. I want my players to be happy. I understand the frustration of some players, seeing that the World Cup is there, and I know what it means, but Manchester United comes first.

The manager’s comments highlight the difficult decisions facing United in January. While expressing empathy for his players’ international ambitions, Amorim emphasized that any departures must serve the club’s strategic interests first.

Beyond the immediate transfer dilemma, Amorim also addressed concerning midfield issues that have emerged this season. The team has become heavily dependent on the resurgent 33-year-old Casemiro alongside captain Bruno Fernandes, particularly due to Manuel Ugarte’s struggles to adapt to Premier League football.

Amorim, who worked successfully with Ugarte at Sporting CP, acknowledged the Uruguayan’s difficulties: “You can sense that a lot of very good players come here, and sometimes they struggle. He is struggling in the moment, but it is our job to try to help our players. He needs to adapt, and he needs to improve, especially in training.

The midfield concerns have accelerated United’s plans to sign at least one central midfielder next summer, though Amorim’s immediate focus remains on navigating the January window without compromising squad depth for the crucial second half of the season.
