The NBA offseason is quickly approaching and many teams have some crucial decisions to make regarding their rosters this summer.
Among those teams are the Golden State Warriors who are trying to build around their aging trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to chase another championship.
Of course, the Warriors were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves but they were not at full strength after Curry was sidelined due to an injury.

Now the Warriors enter an offseason that could see them make some moves and they have been linked to champion from the Boston Celtics.
That player is Derrick White, who could be on the move this offseason as there have been multiple reports saying that Boston may trade away some of their key players to cut their total salary, especially with Jayson Tatum out for the season due to a torn Achilles.
Former NBA player Lou Williams recently gave his thoughts on White’s potential fit in Golden State if they were to trade for him.
“I like this a lot,” Williams said about the Warriors potentially trading for White. “He fits their style. He can shoot the basketball, he’s gonna be able to defend. He check all of the boxes for the style of play that the Golden State Warriors like to play.”
“It’s a spot open for some star power now.” đź‘€@TeamLou23 LOVES the idea of Derrick White on the Warriors, especially with the injury to Jayson Tatum in Boston. The Celtics could use an injection of some “star power”.

Of course, White has been a key player for the Celtics since they traded for him and he was a major reason why they won the championship last season.
White is a deadly three-point shooter but he also excels on the defensive side of the ball, both of which the Warriors could use, especially after their disappointing playoff exit.

Despite this, Golden State would likely have to move Jonathan Kuminga in a sign-and-trade deal to land him from Boston and if the Celtics are not interested in Kuminga, it would be hard for the Warriors to acquire him.
While that may be the case, White’s fit alongside Curry and Butler and in Steve Kerr’s system would be a great one that could help Golden State return to championship form.
