Married at First Sight UK viewers were left on tenterhooks as Divarni revealed his decision to either remain or depart the experiment during Wednesday’s (22 October) instalment.
The groom has persistently worked at his relationship with Julia-Ruth, who has openly stated she lacks physical attraction towards her husband and even confessed to finding co-star Steven appealing.
Following the remaining participants turning on Julia-Ruth and highlighting her repeated disrespect towards Divarni, many anticipated he would finally opt to exit both the marriage and programme.
Yet Divarni left everyone speechless by deciding to remain, pledging to grant his marriage one last opportunity.

Their fellow participants were similarly taken aback, with Leah labelling Divarni “delusional” during a post-ceremony interview.
Viewers watching from home expressed comparable sentiments across social media, with one posting: “Divarni is DELUSIONAL #MAFSUK,” whilst another remarked: “Divarni you don’t want to be saved #MAFSUK.”
A third posted: “Divarni is here for fame. He knows that Julia Ruth is completely in the wrong and so he is most likely getting sympathy from the viewers. That’s the only reason he’s staying #MAFSUK.”
Wednesday’s instalment witnessed all remaining couples transported to a retreat, allowing them quality time with both their partners and fellow cast members.
The celebrities didn’t hesitate to delve into the Divarni and Julia-Ruth saga, with Bailey expressing his curiosity about whether Divarni had truly heard Nelly’s comments regarding Julia-Ruth and her husband Steven, following her assertion that Julia-Ruth intended to get closer to Steven during partner swap week.

Meanwhile, Bec highlighted that in Divarni’s eyes, Julia-Ruth can do “no wrong”.
Julia-Ruth advised her husband that the “most important thing” is for them to concentrate on their marriage and maintain “tunnel vision” moving forward, while Divarni confessed he was “hesitant” to write stay, but is remaining to work on their relationship.
However, the initial night of the couples retreat saw Divarni choose to stay alone, confessing to Julia-Ruth that he felt like he’d been “hit with a ton of bricks” after hearing everyone’s views and processing what had transpired.
